Teams play out of their minds in big emotional games. This isn’t basketball, it is drama. We will be ok. We can sustain this longer than they can.
All Ark games for Ark have been rock fights so Cal came in and trying to beat us at our own game. Hope Pope adjust b3cause noway Ark continues to shoot like this.
Arkansas isn't playing any harder thsn they usually play.
The problem is, our defense is do bad that they are hitting wide open shots. It's a glorified practice for them.

I don’t see it continuing in the second half. Of course they may just start driving it and scoring while we suddenly go cold.
On the plus side we are right where we have been all season long, losing at the half. Hopefully the Hog's adrenaline wears off and they come out flat. Then we can smoke'em.
To be fair, Arkansas has had PLENTY of game with this many open 3s, and they usually would normally average 4/18. It isn't just about the defense. Except for Davis, the Arkansas players are shooting WAY better than they ever would...even when left open.
Sure hope coach figures it out, cause right now doesn’t look like Cal needs any adjustments

I don’t think they failed to get up for the game, I think Ark just hit 9 threes in a half when they avg 6 per game. We scored 45 points, that should be enough.
Yep! Arkansas still has to play 7 ranked teams, they ain’t gonna win many more this season. They hit shots they normally don’t hit that half, maybe it balances out in the second half!
They are obviously going under screens and sagging off to keep them out of the paint. Arkansas and Cal have had this game circled All year, it’s all that matters to them. It will be interesting to see if Pope changes his strategy.

I don't understand how we have 3 & 4 year guys and they don't have a clue how to actually play man defense. It is on our staff. Surely to hell they could play a match up zone and be better.

If we hit 2 of the 4 free throws we missed, we are up 1. It amazes me how we shoot the 3 at 70% for the game and 50% on free throws.
That's an excuse. Our defense is ***, you can put a white prom dress on it if you want, but our defense is the worst in the SEC and several other conferences. It shouldn't be.
