I am and will continue to do my share of venting. My comments to you is all a part of venting.

I am sure Pope was feeling a lot more pressure than normal. The media did a good job of turning Kentucky into the villain which helped take the pressure off of Arkansas and turned it up on Kentucky, especially coach Pope. We will have other times to deal with Cal and Arkansas. My guess is that after they finish rejoicing the win someone will want Cal to explain his comments about him not having any plans to leave Kentucky and opining about no at Kentucky tried to stop him from leaving. Basically, he was only trying to use Arkansas to improve his situation at Kentucky.

As most reasonable people figured, but were happy about it. I'm still happy with his decision today

"Why do you think he gives us a reasonable chance to do so?"

1. This team plays better against higher seeded/ranked competition.

2. He's still developing his bench players.

3. There's still a month before post-season play.

4. This team plays very poorly against teams they should beat, so being seeded lower would help until the regional finals or FF.

I remember some people here recently telling me I didn't know what I was talking about in bullet point #2. Saying he'd be tightening up his rotation instead, and giving fewer bench minutes.

Well, Coach Pope has spoken

I'm ambivalent about the rotation, its dependent on so many factors, but never understood Calipari letting scholarships go to waste.

Don't understand any reason why that happens, especially in the era of you losing 2/3rds of your team at the end of the season
