His defense and effort has been low this game. Heās looked so much better as of late and he isnāt forcing anything but our team energy sucks. Iāve noticed him being passive all game. He knows they canāt beat them almost, but no effort on a lot of possessions.
Thatās why I want JJ to play. He can score when he plays within the team concept.
Been at work so canāt watch but apparently it was not a good first half.
JQ needs to teach defense to the whole team. Heās ridiculous.
Just the usual Mark Pope first half. Honestly it happens every game. I donāt understand it. I think they all look like they wanna go home. Canāt blame them for the holidays, but I wish we would play two halves.
Not to sound negative but if Bellermines guys are blowing by us this easy, imagine what Alabamas guys are going to do. Iām hoping this is just a Christmas hangover and we dial it in before conference play. We look like we have a cinder block on each foot today
We should be up by 30 about now. Just wonāt do the things needed to break it open.
Itās quite embarrassing the level of defense we are playing. Thank god Kam is shooting today.
Very uninspiring play today. JQs face said it all going to the bench. Pope's substitutions today killing any rhythm the guys have
He may be the worst substitution coach Iāve seen in a long while. I get wanting some guys to get minutes in this game, but I think we see why Jelly doesnāt play. He offers no resistance on defense.
Iāve been watching on and off at work. What Iāve seen not great. But again, expected with no point guard playing. Glad to see Mo ātoo smallā the beasts playing for Bellarmine though.
Iām so happy to see Kam break out today. Thatās a positive and Iād like to see JJ play a little more.
Glad we are up, but this game has looked like regression instead of progression for the most part. Either that or Lowe is the complete heart on both sides of the ball. Way to close for way to long in this one, nothing against Bellarmine, but a losing record team from the ASUN should not be this close for this long. I guess these guys are looking ahead to Christmas and toying with these guys.
Is UK the worst first half team in America? I think so. It's sort of comical.
If Pope allows it the best are, Lowe, Oweh, Jasper/Aberdeen, Williams, Moreno, JQ, Mo D. Those 8 players should have the most time. Chandler plays when Jasper sucks lol
I'd lean toward Lowe being the root cause of UK's entire success/failure this year. A lot to put on him, especially banged up, but it's obvious at this point.
It looks like we are a 2nd half team this year. First half has been consistently abysmal
Moreno is solid, but needs to hone his offensive skills at the college level.

I'd love to see the data nerds go to work on that research question. Wouldn't shock me to see UK in the top 3 (worst).
Kam Williams has arrived.
Garrison, Noah, and Jelavic have left the building. Probably best for them to move on after this season, unless they want to be good practice players with knowledge of the system/culture Pope is building. They're just not good. If you can't show out against Bellarmine, you aren't UK material.

Meanwhile we routinely go 1-2 at the line, Moreno shocked the hell outta me earlier and hit 2 in a row.
I understand we have no Lowe today but if we play like this against Alabama that game is going to look like the Gonzaga and Michigan State games!
Pope's terrible sub patterns is one of the reasons of what costs us offense and game rhythm. He needs to pick 8 guys and play. I don't know what he's thinking.
Bad part is Popeās negotiating with these guys for next year. Now which guys we donāt know all I know is he better get a couple studs or we are watching Groundhog day again next season! We donāt need a team full of role players again next yearā¦.
This sure has been a "wait and see season" for us, with hugely mixed results.
However, if we can ever get everyone on the floor together ( we sure could have used Jlowe this game .... neverminding we didnt NEED him for it) we have the pieces, but they sure are a long way6 away from being on the collective samew page. They still havent fully realized their identity because they STILL havent gotten them altogether on the floor. Freankly, this was a MEH game all the way.
