Ugly half against a bad Clemson team. And Clemson has to have the ugliest players with the worst hair in the country.
Clemsons starters only picked up a combined 2 fouls. We had two starters sit most of the half with 2 fouls a piece. I say we get things rolling in the 2nd half like when we went on that quick 7-0 run when butler came back with 2 fouls.
They actually don't even play at a slow tempo.
Overall their games have been slow tempo but their average time on offense per trip is 16 seconds. That's 32nd fastest. It's just their opponents have taken 19.4 seconds (361st). I assume cause Clemson plays good defense.
They don't mind to run.
Several issues in the half, but my biggest concern is when Butler gets two early fouls. Krissa can be good in spells, but he isn’t a 20 + min guy. Brea has not had any looks, Williams is trying too hard, Robinson’s shot selection has been terrible, and we are just simply out of rhythm. Will all that said, we are only down 7 with a half to play. Let’s go boys!
Team was down 9 at half to Duke and won that game by 5.
Clemson has also already played 3 real games. We’ve played one. It’s just different when you’re not greatly superior to the opponent.

Robinson being out best player is a major concern man. He just doesn’t have that it factor.
If they don't like physical, just wait until you play UT, Auburn, Alabama, etc in the SEC.

So many rushed shots, unforced turnovers. Kerr playing like he's never seen a basketball before. Almonor missing all of his 3s. Offensive sets aren't producing good looks. Refs letting Clemson MURDER us with some of the **** they are letting slide. Recipe for an ugly half like that. Let's see what Pope can pull at half time.
I'm confident we can win if we can execute and get our shooters good looks. Confidence after seeing that first half is not high though.

The refs use no calls more than calls to control games.
Let’s see how they call it next half, and let’s see how much energy they can keep up. That clown in glowing shoes was gassed there at the end. He won’t keep that up all game.
Giving up way too many offensive rebounds that's the main reason Clemson is up.
Meh, we were strong enough and big enough against Duke. They are as big and physical as these guys.

When we are shooting 28% from 3, we need to quit jacking them up and go in the paint. We are a poor 3 point shooting team when we play a team with decent 3 point defense.
31% shooting, 3 assists, 6 turnovers. 4-14 on threes. Out-rebounded by 10. Gave up 12 offensive boards. Feels like they should be down 15 instead of 7.
Surprised we didn't see Chandler, but he can be a little loose with the ball/questionable decision-making, so maybe it's not the night for him. He also has the ability to give the team a spark when things are stale...
We need to get some composure real quick. Time to grow up and be upperclassmen.

We’re not executing the offense properly, and they’ve hit a LOT of fade away midrange twos. Thankfully I know Pope will make adjustments and This is still winnable

I can't figure out why he rushes all of his post shots so much. Not just this game either, everything is waaaay accelerated for no reason.
Only reason I'm not completely stressing. But whew. After seeing what EweTee did to Syracuse and watching Cal win, this would be a sucktastic loss.
