We are supposed to be up double digits at the half . Instead we are down 1.

They haven’t even began hitting wtf that was solid defense shots that you see in the tournament .

even when Cal was here, we would end up in these bizarre situations lately where we can't dribble against pressure. constantly picking up our dribble, playing on our heels, our best hope to do something is the defense making a mistake. its truly mindboggling, there needs to be a wholesale change in our talent evaluation to secure guys who are skilled at all levels, quickness, dribbling, shooting, finishing at the rim. I watch other games and teams have it in spades, look at ******* High Point. It is insane the product we put on the floor at times, Iowa St saw all these deficiencies on film and are exploiting it every possession.

Pope should be fired simply for the crap he’s putting on the court. I’m sorry, Lowe doesn’t fix the problem that Kentucky looks scared as crap to handle the ball. Flat out embarrassing product. Dudes look like a jv team out there trying to dribble and pass the ball.
Lowe absolutely fixes the issues we're having right now. St Johns learned the hard way, you can't press and trap JL, he will make you pay. DA doesn’t. He holds the ball and lets the defense get set and collapse on him

If we were up 30 the halftime panel would still talk about Iowa State. There would be zero praise for Kentucky
What praise would you have liked them to have said? Iowa St is shooting the worst they have all season, without their starter and are winning.

I just have a feeling they'll call it more in second half. They usually do
They will call whatever fouls keep the game close till the end of the game, because all that matters to the refs is the point spread. They will not start calling Iowa St. for their obvious fouls unless they pull 8+ points ahead of us.

Pope's not built for this. It's as simple as that.

Even Pitino had to chastize Pope because Mark was crying to the media about his mental issues earlier this year.

It's pathetic to watch what a soft head coach Kentucky has now.
But unfortunately we will have to endure a third year. That is if anyone wants to come and play for him.

ISU has best defense I've seen, besides Houston.
We have 12 turnovers and they have 7 steals.
Pope needs to recruit legit ball-handlers !!
Didn't we all say the same thing when Tennessee took us in the prison showers in the Sweet Sixteen?

We played like crap, hit several 3s, turned the ball over 12 times, got a terrible whistle. Pope made no adjustments. We have a chance but this reminds me of the Texas AM pressure and we didn’t do well with it. That rebound missed by MM changed the entire half

We can’t throw the ball to Moreno or Garrison unless they have a dunk or they will throw it away or lose it. If the refs are going to let them play that way we need to go inside every time down. Pope needs to let the refs know if it’s not going to be called both ways he needs to go ballistic on then if it’s not the second half. They are getting away with slapping and grabbing every time we have the ball. You can’t play like that without fouling.

Since the 18-6 start, we've been outscored 25-12. What's really disappointing is we have way more experience than they do. Aberdeen is a National Title winner, Oweh/Chandler/Garrison were all in the Sweet 16 last year. Just a complete disappointment from this team this year.
We were up 18-6 at the 12:48 mark with zero team fouls. ISU finished the last 12:48 on a 25-12 run, playing high intensity defense in order to create turnovers, and somehow they finished the half shooting 15 free throws, while we shot only 3.

What a disaster to end the half you are up 7 pts with a couple mins left and you go into the half down 1

You play great D for most of the half but you make some dumb turnovers over and over and over

12 freaking turnovers

Then at the end you make like 3 straight turnovers to end the half and instead of getting a 2 for 1 with 59 secs left you turn it over twice and get a 0 for 2.

Iowa State without their best player and it don't matter.

This team should be up 10 pts not down 1

I don't see how Kentucky wins this game.

Were not, we pissed our pants and are going home, what a bunch of unfocused fkn players.

We have got to stop giving the ball to our bigs at the top of the key. These guys are not Andrew Carr or Amari Williams. Put it in Aberdeen and Owehs hands and live and die with it. I cringe every time I see Garrison get the ball 30 feet away from the basket.

Can't give the ball to our bigs at all. Every time they get the ball down low, they are double and triple teamed. They did a great job at scouting our bigs and how terrible they handle the ball.

It's almost like these games are fixed. Almost.

Down one to the number 2 seed. Usually we are better in the second half. We touch them it’s a foul not so much for us!!
