Then Pope said, “Hold my beer!”
I text my homeboy who is a UConn fan and told him Iowa St will definitely make a run it’s early .

I said that and still thought it would be a competitive game at the end. I didn’t see us getting beat down like this with that start smh

Probably for the best. Didn’t lose opening round and popes seat is still very warm next year and probably out after it.

I truly wish the powers to be would find a way to get rid of Pope in the coming week. It’s been clear for a while he’s not the answer and not an elite coach. I’m not sure I can stomach another season like this one and I’m afraid if he stays he has his best team yet next year and does enough to get a fourth year. The experiment is over, let’s end it now and move on.

It was never stated that Pope was an offensive guru. It was a guy on his staff who was the offensive guru. Pope even talked about it, I think it was at Big Blue Madness.
It actually was. All I heard before his first season started was “I’d love to see Reed and Rob in a Mark Pope offense.”

I don't see Moreno coming back. For all his supposed talent as a "McDonald's All-American" he looks and acts like this is too difficult for him.
Something happened to Moreno. He got worse after taking that black eye recently. We’ve seen really good play from him at times this season. Do they still have those big guy gurus?
