True, but they are not 20 points better than Kentucky without their best player. I read where they were 4-4 in their last 8 games, we were just flat out unprepared and and quit in the second half. We would have been beaten by the worst team in the field of 68 if we had of played them today, at least they were a good team.
Program is in a bad place right now . A laughing stock .

2. Brings a couple of difference makers with him and a couple more from the portal

Being able to BUY a team is not as important as being able to COACH a team and establish an identity.
Went to dinner last night, I live the Richmond Va area and had on my UK gear. i had 2 different people come up to me and ask what happened to UK basketball? One guy said you guys aren't relevant any more.

I don't know man. That guy reminds me WAY too much of Bob Knight. Even the commentators remarked about the way he runs the team with a military style. Just because he beat up on a bad team today doesn't mean they will make a deep tourney run.
And before you remind me of how good a coach Knight was, I know already. But the guy was also a POS. You can win with a coach who knows and teaches the game the right way, developes players, but still has some class.
Two come to mind. A shake up of the staff, and a big splash in the portal with difference making freshman. Players that fit Popes system and accomplish those objectives. Then, if it don't work, BYE BYE!
