The game started fast. I was a bit late tuning in because I didn't think they would play, but we are already through the first 0-0 in 15 minutes.

Trey Dawson with a bobble and an error can't get the force at 2nd so we have runners at 1st and 2nd with 1 out, then we turn a double play, heading into the bottom of the 2nd.

Cottam with a sharp single, and an error on RF allowows Cottam to take 2nd. He scores on an RBI single by R Shinn, 1-0 Cats.

Collett takes a called 3rd strike. Didn't get his money's worth on that. Cottam gets a much needed single. Ryan Johnson is out on a difficult play on a foul ball by the 3rd baseman. Ryan Shinn gets a single up the middle to score Cottam. Nice to see Shinn get a hit, had a pretty low average coming in. Heyer pops out so we are sitting at 1-0

Cottam gets a single to right, which is badly misplayed and he's able to get to second. Shinn followed it up a bit later with a single up the middle to plate Cottam and give UK the 1-0 lead going to the third.

Seemed like Thompson was getting comfortable, getting two outs in the inning and then gives up an HR to the leadoff hitter.

Well they aren't a great team and I imagine they have had very little outdoor practice.

I think that makes our 8th multi-run inning for the year. Thompson gives up another 2 out HR to their leadoff hitter.

Is Thompson making mistake pitches to Jackson or simply challenging him? If he is challenging him, I'd say nibble.

Ryan Johnson doesn't get a hit but bounces it off the first baseman who gets the error. Shinn flies out and Heyer singles and the outfielder bobbles for the 2nd error of the inning. Sounds like they are pretty loose in the field.

Dawson gets an infield single and scores Johnson. Looking like a good game for him. It's an unearned run but we like it.

Aklinski hits what Gabriel calls a bad 0-2 pitch down the middle to score Dawson. 9th multi-run inning.

Standup double for Becker gets them on 2nd and 3rd but two outs.

The good and bad of this is that we're getting the benefit of bad errors but that we're getting timely hits to make them pay for making them.
