Long stretches? You CLEARLY don’t understand how box scores and math works. Chandler played THREE minutes, Perry SEVEN necessary minutes giving Butler rests.
Games aren’t won or lost in the first half and they play a second one. During that second half we tied, then went ahead. I won’t argue that the last three minutes was a goat f but this game wasn’t lost in the first half.
Ever heard of a thing is basketball called using so much energy to make a big comeback that u don’t have anything left for the end of the game to finish it off? It’s a real thing bro and happens all the time

This is a game UK should have won. They were awful for nearly the entire game. They had a ton of self-inflicted wounds.
Standing 6 feet off the 3 point line on defense

Not blocking out rebounding

Lack of effort most of game

But most of all the team looked like it didn’t give an eff

Pope may lose this team. Be lucky to finish .500

Vandy is a better team. And that’s sad.

I don't think any of us REALLY thought we would or could have a deep run in the tournament. Hey we have a makeshift team and are fun to watch most of the time. They have actually far exceeded what we realistic should have expected. On to Knoxville, a win there will wash the bitter taste out of our mouths.
Yeah they have exceeded expectations however I don’t know if anyone could argue some of the teams we have lost to are more talented than us.

Clemson,Vandy , and Georgia . I know road games are tough but I don’t even think the crowd was a factor late in this game .We just played sloppy down the stretch.

I am not sure what Pope saw in Williams. This guy is truly a joke. I am not calling him a joke because of his lack of production. I am calling him a joke because of his lack of effort. I will never forget that he had a clear path to the rim for a dunk and he decided to do a pump fake because he feared that a shorter player would block him from behind. He should be laughed out of Kentucky.

The one on one offense the last 5 minutes was a Cal special. If you have "the most unguardable offense" in the country, maybe run it the whole 40 minutes?

We're hurt for one. Pope keeps trying to plug the leaks. The Kriisa loss was a massive blow. Add in Butler not been right for a while now Carr and his back last few games. That's hard to overcome. Some of our "fans" need some perspective.

I’ve got a bad feeling Kerr is going to be out the rest of the season and possibly Carr, even if he plays, he might not be preseason Carr… 🙁

Yeah and that's all it took. Pope didn't even.play those guys together against Brown, but he chose this game to do it. 7 minutes is an eternity on the road in this league.

But I didn't expect you to know that, you're too busy attacking fans.

Cry me a river u cry baby *****
*****? Haha. Noones crying you moron. You’re absent when we win and only come up for air when we’re playing poorly and when we lose. You’re a nobody hoping that the season ranked you’re no longer defined by the dumbest, worst thread in Cat Illustrated history.

Kerr had one good game. Can't shoot or play defense.

We need Carr back though.

Surprised a veteran team like this could make such a run to pull ahead then it gets away.

Certainly missed Carr, but really no excuse for digging such a huge hole then coming unglued at crunch time. These guys have been in those slots before.

Puts the SEC season in an even tougher grind if that were possible.

BUT....this one's done. Now to see what exactly went wrong that can be fixed (and I'm really not sure how much CAN be fixed) and move on down the schedule.

Oh, well that makes it better, takes the loss right off the board.

Attacking “fans?” Ok caped crusader. 7 minutes? Chandler ONLY PLAYED THREE!!!!! Perry HAD to play. Noah brought energy to the boards and played good defense during his 12 minutes.

Check the box score dummy. Chandler 3 mins, Perry a necessary 7 spelling Butler and Noah 12.
And that's all it took to dig a 14 point hole.

You're on an island by yourself, it was a massive mistake by Pope, just admit it.

But hey, I'm glad you're cool with us having a losing streak.

Play of the game was when Oweh missed a 3 and Williams was tackled to the floor so he couldn’t rebound. No call on the foul and They come down hit a 3 for the lead. Then we had several stupid t/o’s down the stretch.
Play of the game was when we had a lead and Amari decided to do his patented “dribbled repeatedly at arm’s length and completely blow an easy 6 foot shot.” We never held the lead again after that.

I’m surprised by how often he doesn’t even attempt to contest shots right in his face.

Keep saying that I’m fine with us losing *******…you’re the one defending the trolls who are here because we did.

I have no problem defending my assertion that 3 mins of Chandler in the first half didn’t cost us the game.

Butler forcing that pass to Amari at a crucial point will bother me all night.
It will bother me as well but for a different reason. I’m concerned how Pope cannot see just how bad running the offense through Amari makes this team. This was an extremely winnable game but the lineups Pope ran out and the strategy of Amari gives me concern.

Early on in the season it looked fine to run through Amari but with film, coaches can tell you can neutralize the offense by pressing up on Amari. Add in the lazy *** rebounding and his routinely giving up 3s today and failing to challenge at the rim, just what the hell does Pope think Amari bring?

I know some of you are upset

but we are victims of our success here. Pope could have come in and assembled a team of second tier players while Cal either took or bought all the best players, with UK struggling to be a .500 team and the fans would be angry at Cal because he let the program in shambles writing the year off.

Now we're pissed because we're about to fall out of the top ten and projected to be a #4 seed.

c'mon, enjoy the moment of still exceeding expectations. enjoy the moment of a coach who loves this university and its fans. enjoy the moment of players who want to be here because its Kentucky not because a coach promised them an NBA contract.

its a great time to be a UK fan
