Sooo still unsigned? Did he test the waters one too many times? The old rule of only extorting more means net out of your boss once might hold true here. The second time you try it you better be ready to maybe take less money someplace else.

There is an old saying, "Pigs eat and hogs get slaugthured". Perhaps that is what is happening here.

Curious how many players who entered the portal and didn't sign, have played their last down at the D1 level...and then don't get their degree?

How will we ever survive without his presence on the DL?

That's what I meant. He doesn't seem to a rating for DL in the 247 portal list. Swapping him for what we brought in from the portal is a plus deal for NU.
Yeah he's been a big disappointment so far with NU. From the moment our old DC labeled him "maybe the next Suh" everything was downhill lol.

Just let the kid develop and see how he turns out.im not saying that hurt him but it damn sure didn't help him. He left NU more as a guy looked like Tarzan but played like Jane. Maybe the next team can get it out of him. We obviously were not able to ...if it's even in there to begin with .

Ok, so how good did Suh look before his senior year? I know he and Crick were awesome that year but I don’t remember before that. Thanks.

I thought he could develop into a good player. Sorry to see him leave.

Yeah I wanted to keep him also But if we are being honest if we had it was literally gonna be based off of potential. How does that work money wise? Just how much can you pay a guy who u have seen for two years and basically didn't get much out of hi.m

Maybe he priced himself out of Lincoln.

Exactly. At some point we need to see results and a return on the expenses provided for his services. Chalk it up to a poor DC, DL coach, scheme, fit, whatever. 42 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 19 games is not someone I’m breaking the bank for or begging to stay, especially after they’ve already tried to leave once.

He’s from Arizona and had offers from UCLA, UW, Michigan St, Colorado, ASU Az.

Me too🤣. Got interrupted. I was wondering where he might logically be looking to go. Was going to pose the question if you or anybody else has heard of any interest from other schools.
😂😂😂 he has potential, there’s no denying it. But we need more than potential at this point. Especially from a 3rd year player.

But didn’t Indiana have 2 and 3 star players on their team that one a national championship
So yer sayin teams are going to quit recruiting 4 and 5 star players? The key to my question was that he didn’t show much at NU.

No I was just being sarcastic to some posters who want nothing but 4 and 5 star players

Our DL is already the island of misfit toys. Gabe Moore hadn't played organized football in like 3 years. Jeudy was like 32 years old with 7 kids and was torn between giving up football and being our #1 interior DL this year. We have some giant German guy from Beerfest. Lefotu has like a crippled leg from a car accident, but hes still limping around 4 years later.

We added a 6th year senior from BC with 2 career sacks against FCS schools, who is coming off a season ending injury.....and a 270lb redshirt freshman from Pitt.

So lets throw this guy a preferred walk-on offer and get the band back together for 2026 😎 what do we have to lose.

Wait, what? When did you get back, Kakdawg? Or have I just completely missed your posts?

Suh was dominant his junior year, but didn't do much at all the first 3 years. His redshirt sophomore year, he looked good towards the end of the year, if I remember correctly.

Suh is the reason why I am not upset that the younger guys on the DL weren't dominant as freshmen and sophomores. Not that I'm saying any of them are Suh, but EVEN Suh wasn't making waves as a DL until his 4th year. People need to give the DL more fuccing time to develop. The coaches and the fans.

I think Davis had a ton of potential. I wish he had redshirted one of those years and given some time. The portal has completely fucced up developmental coaching.

Jesus "Beaver Slayer". That wasn't Lefotu that had the car accident. It was Brody Tagaloa. You just love randomly throwing sheit, even when you don't know what the fucc you're talking about.

Big difference between getting 2-3 star players that are underrated and/or you can develop them into better and getting 2-3 star players that are rated about right and stay that way.

Maybe Miami thinks they can do the former? Because in case you haven't noticed, we tend to do the latter.
