Me too🤣. Got interrupted. I was wondering where he might logically be looking to go. Was going to pose the question if you or anybody else has heard of any interest from other schools.
Some of those western schools have trimesters and later enrollment dates. Not sure if that matters or how that fits in with eligibility requirements.

Wait, what? When did you get back, Kakdawg? Or have I just completely missed your posts?

Suh was dominant his junior year, but didn't do much at all the first 3 years. His redshirt sophomore year, he looked good towards the end of the year, if I remember correctly.

Suh is the reason why I am not upset that the younger guys on the DL weren't dominant as freshmen and sophomores. Not that I'm saying any of them are Suh, but EVEN Suh wasn't making waves as a DL until his 4th year. People need to give the DL more fuccing time to develop. The coaches and the fans.

I think Davis had a ton of potential. I wish he had redshirted one of those years and given some time. The portal has completely fucced up developmental coaching.

Jesus "Beaver Slayer". That wasn't Lefotu that had the car accident. It was Brody Tagaloa. You just love randomly throwing sheit, even when you don't know what the fucc you're talking about.
Does it change anything I said? Didnt think so

He visited Miami last week if we're talking Keona.

I sort of think that if he were going there, it would have happened by now. They got Damon Wilson, possibly the best edge in the portal, and are expecting Moton (dominant vs Indiana) back as well. They may have been kicking the tires on Davis and have moved on.

Big difference between getting 2-3 star players that are underrated and/or you can develop them into better and getting 2-3 star players that are rated about right and stay that way.

Maybe Miami thinks they can do the former? Because in case you haven't noticed, we tend to do the latter.
I agree

Maybe Keona figures it out. Can’t blame him for leaving I guess but I don’t think he’s a difference maker.
Not for us anyway. Seems like a tweener. I don't see him being long enough or fast enough to be a good edge defender and he was ineffective taking on double teams on the inside. I think he'll find a home somehow and hopefully it's a better fit for him.

I read some where that 35-40 Percent do not find a home. Then out of that 5 percent will end up not Power 4 teams.
So does this mean players are "encouraged" to enter the portal. Does coach bring them in and say "you are never going to play here", you can stay on the team but everybody will hate you and nobody wants you here so it is better to enter the portal? Or 4000 players really think they can make money or get a better situation and 2500 are screwed?

I sure hope many are encouraged to move on

Yes, although I'm pretty sure most coaches have more people skills than you.

Yes most players are encouraged to move on . Coaches will use their contacts at other places to help certain players find a home.

This is the second time he entered but he also had position coaches leave each year that can’t be fun for a kid .there was some chatter about Illinois and possibly Miami but that nothing lately. I wouldn’t think he would be asking for a big bag but who knows. I agree I think he is a solid player but not a difference maker

I think the tweener build might be part of why he hasn’t landed anywhere yet. Wouldn’t surprise me if he waits it out a bit, and the quarter-system schools out west should allow him to enroll in time for spring ball. Washington seems like the logical spot: he was committed there out of high school, they’ve had a ton of DL churn (4 to graduation, 5 to the portal), and only added three DL back via the portal. Plus Walters is mostly a four-man front guy, which a lot of people thought fit him better than the 3-man front.

My suspicion is we were over paying him and he thought he was worth more. He might be disappointed.

Imo rhule is listening to too many people, he needs to trim the fat with all the advisors he hired, and I believe having Dylan on the team was actually counter productive he had to create resentment
Especially because his persona was about being good and fair to players and doing what is best. Coaches are actors, performers, they play a role and if Rhule was outwardly and "win at all costs" kind of guy I think it would go over better to decide the most important coaching position because of a 5 star qb. Just own it. And you tell the players to stfu and myob and do your job. But if you are touting accountability and brotherhood, hard work, and then hiring guys because they are related to an 18 year old qb, it looks bad.

I haven't went anywhere. I was on the pay board but gave it up a couple years ago. Didn't see the value in it anymore. Been posting over here ever since. Maybe you remember me from the RSS? But I've been here a while now.
