I heard quite often last year that any coach could come in and win 9 games. Now people act like we're at Iowa State's level and are lucky to be 2-3 at this point.
I was one of those posters, but I didn't realize at the time how bad our depth was. That is a fact I didn't take into consideration so even though I was one of those wrong about "anybody coming in to win 9 games", knowing what I know now you can't dismiss how crappy how depth actually is. Also injuries have played a huge factor.

With that being said, Riley isn't and shouldn't be immune to criticism. With the correct decisions at the end of BYU and Illinois our chances of winning increase drastically.

But given the facts of poor depth and injuries (and now wondering if all players have the right mindset) I'm willing to give Riley time before criticizing his every single move like many have done here.

If Bo had no idea how to run a football program and still won 70% of his games here, then I'll be expecting undefeated seasons from a veteran coach like Riley once he gets his guys in here.

There's no "if" -- take one look at our current roster -- and there are no participation trophies for winning 70% of your games, especially when a huge chunk of those wins come against McNeese State, South Dakota State, Florida Atlantic, and their ilk. Especially when half the teams you're fielding are built off the hard work of a different coaching staff.

Enough already! You're completely glossing over the fact that the overwhelming majority of that 70% were against lesser teams. Bo's record against anyone with a pulse was ABYSMAL and oh yeah 7 of the 10 worst defensive performances in school history belong to Bo. If Riley repeats it he will wind up with the same fate. Riley and crew are running rings around Bo in how they approach and attack the recruiting game which is the lifeblood of any program. They deserve a fair chance to see if they can make something happen here without your constant negativity and ridiculous over exaggerations expecting undefeated seasons.
