If Kiffin gets the job, any chance Alabama could come after Gran? Or do they have a successor on staff?
I was thinking the same thing. If Kiffin gets the job, any chance Alabama could come after Gran? Or do they have a successor on staff?
Sark is waiting in the background. So no.
That damn Kiffin has more lives than a cat.Got an alert on my phone about it.
Will interview after the game tomorrow

Eh he falls on his own face enough he's gotta be under 5 left. That damn Kiffin has more lives than a cat.
When he takes the job at a high school in Kentucky, give me a call.Eh he falls on his own face enough he's gotta be under 5 left.
Actually didn't mean to insult high school football coaches in Kentucky! When he takes the job at a high school in Kentucky, give me a call.

i think sark was Sabans kiffin insurance policy. if kiff leaves would expect a sark promotion quick.Very good situation to be had at Houston.
1) Stocked cupboard of Herman talent.
2) Ed Oliver--will be a household name and star the next few years, which is great for recruiting.
3) Easy road to 10-12 wins and being in the national conversation (also good for recruiting)
4) Easy access to talent.
I think Kiffin could easily make some noise at Houston, revive his career and put himself in a position to take a big boy gig after a few seasons.
As for Sark, don't be surprised if he follows Kiffin to either LSU or Houston.
How nice to read a reasonable thoughtful post. Coach Gran and Mark are long time friends. Eddie will be here as long as he wishes. That goes for coach Hinshaw as well. Everyone fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride.Gran is at the point in his career where he longer seeks the next big gig. He doesn't want to jerk his family all over the country anymore. Truth be told, it was really difficult getting him from Cincy. So, can we please just stop this message board nonsense now. The man is very happy here and we're all happy that he came here. Leave it at that and let it go.
Kiffen has been a train wreck at every place he's been a head coach. Anybody expecting anything different is going to be sorely disappointed. He's a tool, he's always been a tool and he always will be.
Mac Jones will stick with his Alabama commitment. Kiffin is leaving Tuscaloosa anyway he can, because he isn't getting along with Saban and because he needs a change of scenery. Steve Sarkisian will be promoted to become Alabama's offensive coordinator. People are mistaken if they think Eddie Gran cannot be hired away. Anyone can be hired away. But Gran is likely to stick around. He is well paid, and Barnhart would ante up to keep him. He and Stoops are old friends. He will only lose 1 senior starter off his offense this year. Kentucky's program is on the rise, and it's a great place to coach at this point. There are better jobs around, but not a lot of them.Interesting to see what Mac Jones does if Kiffin leaves. Not sure what Houston or LSU situation looks like at QB but Bama not as exciting as he thought coming in with a possible lean towards dual threat in the future and his OC that recruited him possibly gone now. May see him look around at other places with traditional attacks.
Gran is not going anywhere! It is Hinshaw we have to worry about leaving! If Kiffin gets the job, any chance Alabama could come after Gran? Or do they have a successor on staff?
Not just Kiffin that would cause Mac to look around. Bama found a dual threat this year and liked it.. Will depend on who takes over and what style they prefer.
