How do we know what he's asking for? Some of the rumors about players have turned out not to be true.
That pdtscouting guy who cover international players is saying that
90% of the time when you’re hearing the big numbers it is being leaked by the agents on purpose. That should tell you how those are usually gonna go. Pope isn’t about auctioning for players
IMO Griffen>Aberdeen for our needs. Aberdeen is probably the better player but doesn’t fit as much for what we are missing
I would too but I think the days of Pope bringing a guy that just shoots are probably over. Too easy to take away one thing in the offense

I just saw the sisk update. Kentucky is after Aberdeen, but he isn’t officially in the portal yet, so the schools after him have to wait until after that. But we are after him. Sisk also said it could be situation where whoever commits first between Aberdeen and griffin gets the spot

I think the guys we have gotten were filtered out. They didn’t get all the money they wanted. I think that’s the test from Pope
Hope he feels the pressure and signs on Tuesday. He has more upside for our offense. Aberdeen helps more defensively

They lost 6 games and 12 pts per game on 44 % shooting, not to mention his drama, is pretty mediocre in my book. At age 25. Hope it’s a hard pass from Pope.
Probably won’t be a popular opinion, but I’m good with the 12 we’ve got. They can all play; we don’t have any end-of-the-bench practice players. You start adding more guys and you risk running some off. And there’s nobody left that’s a significant difference maker. Don’t say CBM either—he’s an idiot and a one year rental anyway. Let’s not run off Chandler or Noah who have 3 years left for that fool.

I do find it interesting though that his name is prominent in your screen name, I wondered what people like you would do about that once he was no longer the coach, especially after an ugly exit.

Bruce Pearl breeds that kind of attitude in his program, Pope doesn't.
I'd be good with CBM, but yeah, there are certainly better options.
IIRC: last year teams were picking up some huge guys in June / July. I do not think it goes on much longer for us but I do think Pope might wait to see who withdrawals from the draft to make final decisions.
Pope said, I ain't waiting. Now do we get 1 more guy? We have 13 now if Oweh comes back (which he should). Does Pope go after someone like Sarr (other International Player), wait to see who comes out of the draft, find the best guy right now (shooter)? Time will tell.
I'm going to get it changed. I've had much bigger things to worry about. But thanks for the reminder.
