I been covering this team for 4 years. This is the year they have been building for for a while now, most of these kids have been starting since the sophomore year. It’s going to be a fun year and they have a great coaching staff

Greene Central. I like this Kinston team alot tho. I also love West Craven QB DJ he is really good

They haven’t had the support for football as they have had in basketball. Seems like it’s starting to turn slightly for the Vikings. Talent everywhere in Kinston.

Were you at the game at Greene Central when DJ tried playing on a badly sprained ankle? He did it in practice the day before. Man that was painful to watch. It was so bad at one time I wondered if the officials were going to say anything. He finally went out but didn’t want too. I always enjoy playing GC. Good atmosphere great fans.

Yes I was, it was HARD to watch and it was an amazing what he accomplished still during that game. I actually just got off the phone with DJ I’ll have a Q&As article with him out tonight or tomorrow
