Six of Army's losses were by an average of four points. They are not a good team, but they can keep a defense on the field a long time with their style of play. God help us if somebody can actually throw a pass,

Army is 2-8 right. With wins over Bucknell and Eastern Michigan and a loss to Fordham. WOW this seems real low. Or Vegas knows we really suck.

This game means nothing. I'm sorry to state the obvious, but Army is the #144 best team in the nation. There are countless FCS teams ranked higher than them. We are playing what is the equivalent of an FCS team on Saturday.

And you know some Floodies will come on here after he wins and point out this and that, and it won't mean a thing. This is a game we are absolutely expected to win as a member of the B1G. This is a game we are absolutely expected to win even as a bottom feeder in Division 1. A loss would just be laughably catastrophic.

I, of course, want us to win for the players, because why not? A win's always nice! But in no way can we let this game take any heat off of Flood. A monkey with a fashionable top hat could beat Army.

If the wheels are coming off, anything is possible. The line suggests this is a risky bet. I am reminded of the UNC collapse at the end of last season. I think Army may be a tough one. I recall covering the spread on a last play turnover for a RU TD not so long ago.

Hey I think we have one of those for a Head coach. So we should be able to beat mighty Army. Alrighty then we might be on to something here. Does a clown for a DC get us a win against Maryland. Does a jackass for an OC get us a win in a bowl if we qualify.

Oh I agree. It could be. It absolutely shouldn't be, but it could. Army is not a good football team, mostly because of talent, but they're smarter. They have 4 case studies in front of them on how you defeat Rutgers and shut down our putrid offense. Nothing would surprise me at this point... but that's just an indication of how far this program has fallen.

true but the odds makers are begging us to take RU and when they do that it worries me.

RU will probably cover but this one will be tight throughout.

The talent differential was by far greater in our last two matchups with them in '11 at Yankee Stadium and '12 at home, and we still struggled until pulling away in the 4th quarter. Add in the element that we have nothing to play for, and this is Army's last home game, this makes me weary.
