A group of us headed down Friday night to Knoxville. Any tips on places to tailgate for general public or a good bar to hit before the game. Any dinner suggestions for Friday night?

Side note: I'm aware we haven't beaten Tennessee in Knoxville since 1984, but don't really understand these 52-10 predictions. I think Cats can play a great game down there, hence why I'm going.

Beat the Vols.

For dinner Friday night, go to Market Square downtown. Tons of locally owned restaurants in that area, should have something to satisfy everyone's taste. Couple of good bars in this area also, would stay away from Cumberland Ave. (runs thru UT) as there is road construction and currently is a disaster.

I'm going to be on the "Vol Navy."

I was invited by one of my friends to join them. I'll be representing UK on the Tennessee River.

Stay away from the Strip. It's all to hell.
Old City is where the bars are.

If you know anyone in G10, go there. If not, just go up there anyway. It's the garage right next to the river and stadium and the best tailgating spot there.

There is a G10 parking pass I am thinking of buying. However, will be in the middle of a lot of orange

Stock & Barrel in Market Square has some pretty solid burgers and a big whiskey list.

I may be out there tailgating. A buddy of mine has a setup behind the Mellow Mushroom on the strip.

G10 is a big time tailgating spot. Tons of people in that area.

I may also go to the Crown & Goose on the Old City on Friday night to watch the USA v. Mexico game. It is a pretty cool little bar.

I agree with Market Square, we go there all the time. Stock and Barrel usually has a pretty long waiting list, if so try the Blue Coast Grill right beside it, good food with reasonable prices.
Parking is awful so I recommend parking near Market Square and walking over to the stadium. There is no good option if you don't have a parking pass.

Not so fast my friend, have the Peyton Manning pass directly in front of where the UK players bus stops 8 feet away and twenty steps into the stadium :cheers2:
