Where did anyone say it was based on one game? Seems to be a flaw in your logic you are applying to everyone else.
When the post is made mid game, I would think it’s reasonable to assume that the conclusion was reached during, Idk, this game? Seems to be a flaw in your deductive reasoning.

What do you think Utah has to deal with? Dipshit.
Utah is a good team. A good program. They are equipped to overcome adversity. When was the last time Nebraska was equipped to do that? They’re two different cultures a long way apart. Trying to compare the two is just asinine.

Lamest excuses

"It costs to much to can him". No, it doesn't. It costs more to keep him.

"It was a huge rebuild". No, it was not. Indiana, that was a HUGE rebuild.

"There is no one better out there". This is one of my favs, you have to think that you wife if really your best friend to think that this is true.

Yes keep waiting for someone to change the culture at NU that is just another tired excuse. IU flipped 100 years of bad culture in one season. accepting the excuse that you need 3 4 to 5 years to fix is largely the reason NU still is a bad football program

Nothing will change. Stadium is full every fall. They are making money. The admin does not care about the win/loss record
The administration or whoever the over-lords are...have no motivation to do anything. The fans are the reason this team sucks and will continue to suck. There has never been ANY consequences ....the fans have continued to support with blind devotion this loser program. The money keeps pouring in despite the horrible performance. There are issues when we are going into year 4 with Rhule and he decides that a big portion of his staff needs to be replaced. Nebraska will not pull itself up out of this crap until the fans force it to do so by staying home.

Please add it takes 3, 4, 5 years to change a culture as a top ten excuse see IU flipping 100 years of bad culture

We’re drawing this conclusion during a bowl game where we are missing some of our best players, playing a true freshman at qb and making multiple coaching transitions?
....you mean like almost every other team playing in a bowl game? What a kool aid drunk statement. Matt Rhule is a loser coach. Even the announcers mentioned with a bit of surprise that Rhule hasn't beaten a ranked team since 2016.

No, it is not reasonable. Based on that thinking any decision would be based on a single point of time. It's a matter of critical mass. I copied something from Wki for you. Hope it helps.

The phrase "the straw that broke the camel's back" refers to a minor action or event that leads to a significant and often sudden reaction, typically after a series of cumulative issues. It highlights how a small addition can become the tipping point in a situation that has already reached its limit.

We used to have a not true freshman at QB.

His name was Jeff Sims.

Man did he suck while he was here.

Man did he not suck this season under a different staff.

For as much hate as Kong gets this was starting to become obvious after Minnesota. Mostly when Rhule said that he's the smart guy and warned the coaches about Minnesota. Dude if that's true you need new coaches. But more likely Rhule was just making s*** up. I bet after next year's a** kicking he is going to announce he's going back to the option and I formation. Fans will give him like 3 more years when he does that. They were right about Mr. Rhule.

Snake oil salesman.

Indiana is rare exception. It only shows Cignetti would be a good hire. He already has a job.
It is an exception because head coaches (much like firemen) have done this AMAZING job of telling everyone how ******* hard the job is and how ******* long it takes to change the culture and build a program and fans eat it up, see iowa, for 25 years their coach has been telling them how hard it is to win games and their fans jerkoff over what he does, which is nothing.

Cigs came in and said what other coaches won't and they clearly all know coach speak "It takes a long time, the last guy left a mess, we are building something special here". In other words, I know I won't win so I am going to do my best to buy time.

Cigs came in and said he was going to win and that is what he has done. There was no crying and bitching.

It's almost like when you lose your starting QB your season goes down the sh!tter. Not too many teams can lose their starting QB and all-american Rb and think they actually have a chance. Some of you are really shirt sighted.

Kong isn’t the only person on this board who has said this. Heck, I did not even watch the game. I knew it would be a blowout. What is the score now anyway? 97-14?
Rhule is a lousy coach.
Not watching the game, but knew how many points we had lol

I don't blame Rhule at all for all the BS he spews. He wants to keep his job. I get it.

That weird iowa coach convinced his fans that they should be happy winning 7 games and their fans bought it and 25 years later they are still ******* lame.

luckily, We want more and we demand more. The coaches that trev COULD have went after...

Cigs
Lanning
DeBoer

It is sick to think how bad trev messed up.

The AD really messed up extending Rhule. 0-19 against top 25 and Dannon panicked PSU would try and get him they fired Franklyn for not winning against top 25. This football team is really bad
Kraft and Sthule probably orchestrated that whole thing.

They were missing two dominant OL, etc. We just flat out suck. Our defense is so unathletic. An old lady could juke them into the turf. We have fat, slow, weak players. It's embarrasing.

Sadly our fanbase would have freaked out if we hired Cigs.

I would have said don't blame Dannen but idiot extended him. And we know Rhule is gonna want every cent of his contract.
