Have scored the same number of points in NCAA tournament play
Unfortunately, Killer Mopp has two more rebounds and one more steal in the dance.

Fortunately, he still has infinitely more turnovers: 3 to Nance’s 0.

I watched the final 15 minutes of IU's game vs. Wyoming. He barely touched the ball when he was in.

As in most games, Kopp was sitting down to end the game.

Yesterday it was not even a seasoned guy like Phinesae (sp) who was playing. It was Galloway. A freshman who actually made two bonehead decisions down the stretch.

Woodson has a script, much like CCC. Gotta stick to the script.

I didn’t see much, but I did see Kopp credited with a steal inside of three minutes. He was off ball, chasing a guy along the baseline, when Wyoming’s point guard lost the handle on a drive, and the ball kind of bounced to Kopp. It was a crucial possession, though I don’t remember what happened next…

Kopp is truly a nonentity, but he’s got that experience Woodson loves. He hardly moves on offense and gets the lowest-effort wing on defense.

But he’s got an NCAA Tourney win.

What did you think of the Wyoming coach's strategy in that game?
I know much less about basketball strategy than I do about football. But he played right into Woodson’s plan of a defensive struggle and the comparative depth of Indiana - plus their savage defense that we witnessed firsthand - wore them out.

Wyoming seemed incredibly dependent on their top two scorers - which looked pretty easy to neutralize, or at least minimize the impact of - for Indiana.

I hope Rutgers beats Notre Dame tonight in a similar fashion. Even if @mountaindrew doesn’t believe it.

Kopp did not have 3 TO’s. He had 3 fouls.

And he had a clean steal with 2 or 3 minutes left. A small miracle.

Well, he has 3 more turnovers, hardly infinite. Now, if you're talking ratios...
Yep, but he is still playing, Nance is not, nor anyone one else from Northwestern. After the most embarrassing loss, blowout in the history of the big ten tournament, and it was a national embarrassment, well, that says it all about Northwestern basketball,
Comparing Collins to Woodson, wow. It is not close, Woodson is lite years beyond Collins.

Indiana fans shouldn’t come on anyone else’s message board and call their performance “embarrassing”.

Have you seen IU’s football team? Now that’s embarrassing.

Yep it was, and just like you, no bowl. But no one, not a single team, has ever been beaten, humiliated, trashed like the Northwestern bball team at this years Big Ten Tournament. Not a single team , EVER. And they were trashed by all the sports people, television networks and analysts all over the country. And, Iowa could have scored 150, a 150. Let that sink in.

Dude, you do not have to feel so bothered to the point of actually spending time posting on a board you never post in.

That’s not normal. Relax, enjoy what you have going. We can take care of thrashing our program. We are kind of experts at it.

A fan of the worst major college football program in history comes over here to trash us. Wow! And what is the last bowl game you won? And you must have given our horrible basketball team quite a beatdown (oh, that's right, you had excuse for losing). I always root for other BIG teams (except for Illinois) but Indiana fans like you are giving me pause lately, especially after that "no respect" whine your football team had before blowing yet another postseason game (to a team with a losing record) last year.

How are you feeling today Einstein? Sometimes it is worse to be rich at one time and lose all of your money than to be poor your whole life. Indiana lost to Northwestern, not many did that. Go enjoy Schwarber getting a new contract.

Are you still mumbling “ Yes Sir. May I have another” from last night’s game? The storied IU basketball program getting doubled up and then some by an upstart small school from a 3rd rate conference with a bunch of gritty rag tag white boys. WOW! That’s the ultimate humiliation in sports. Even more so than thinking Miller Kopp was a player and then losing to Northwestern. Indiana basketball losing to NU and taken to the wood shed by St. Mary’s. Think about that. GOUNUII

Indiana should not have been in the tournament. They were basically Jackson-Davis and pray this season. It's doing the B1G no favor to get 8-9 teams in every year and then watch several of the fringe teams die the first weekend. St. Mary's has an exceptional team this year, but that was still a thrashing.

I agree that Indiana did not deserve a tournament bid.
No team with a losing record in their conference deserves a NCAA tournament bid.
The tournament determines the national champ.
If you are below .500 in your league, you are NOT in the conversation for national champ and everybody (with a brain) knows that.

I'd even apply that logic to conference tournament winners.

wow, you sound jealous of Schwarzenegger getting a new contract. Anybody from Nortwestern baseball getting one, maybe Happ. Think he was your last real player, but what, he is back from the 2003 time zone. During that time I think we have had 7 to maybe 10 guys get to the bigs. You really do not want to compare your little league baseball program with a little league facility to ours, right.

Your team got obliterated last night.
And they shouldn't have been in the field.
Not difficult to foresee them getting beaten worse than a #1 seed beats a #16.

Looks like Killer Mopp had a total of 0 points and 3 rebounds in 43 minutes of play as a starter in IU's two tournament games. We sure could have used a gamer like that this year.

I hear IU basketball was really good in 1987. As a 16 year old, I presume you only remember misery and your grandpappy’s stories.

Go fight in your weight class. UNC’s holding onto its history, but won yesterday. I’m sure they’d appreciate your appearance.

Not difficult to foresee them getting beaten worse than a #1 seed beats a #we got beat bad, but we were not home fitting on a couch. And, we lost by 29, bad night without a question after playing 5 games in 8 days, flew all night, hardly any sleep and play. Oh well, but obliterated, that is what Iowa did to you guys, lost by what 50, against a so so zIowa team, as proven by their lost to a small mid major school. And lest you forget, it took a 30 foot shot at the very end of game against Iowa for them to beat us.

Excuses, excuses, iu baseball.. We had to dig out of a big second half hole vs. Nebraska and then play Iowa less than 18 hours later but I didn't hear you referring to any of that and neither did our fans.

Dear iubaseball,

As a fellow resident of the hoosier state I understand that most IU fans are fine folks. While some, like you, somehow believe IU is God's gift to basketball. Stuck in a past where daddy Knight took care of everyone. Now that daddy Knight is not at Assembly Hall, terrorizing and ruining people's lives, while still being revered as a demigod, you feel lost.

I get it. It's not easy to deal with such a past. You get stuck. What to do? Well one option is copious amount of therapy. But that gets expensive. So my gift to you is below. Whenever you get so triggered that you need to invest some of your precious time defending the hoosier honor in some random board, just look at it. Save it to your device. Cherish it. Just look at it. Doesn't it make you feel more calm?

You're welcome.

Yours in hoosierness.

Nice. And how many banners of ANY kind hang at Northwestern?
The first NCAA basketball tournament finale was played in the old Patten Gymnasium on the Northwestern University campus in Evanston, Illinois on March 27, 1939.

I suppose that makes Northwestern the birthplace of modern college basketball.
Or maybe the school that created March Madness.

Indiana has 24 national team champions.
Northwestern has 9.
Indiana has 4x the undergrads.

Northwestern wins.

Northwestern is the basement of any basketball. And your national titles, in money losing, millions and millions, non revenue sports , women’s, who no one, nary a sole, including the television markets care about. And you guys being a fairly conservative leaning school, probably can’t be happy that you lose do many millions of dollars every year on your women’s program with no return, dollar wise.

How many bowl games has Indiana won and are there any in this current century?
