KSR needs to cease to exist

You know why he has the most popular fan site ? Because his site and show is better than the others out there or that used to exist. IF there was a better site, people would be there, pretty simple really. Do not like, do not listen or visit his website. Damn, some people have wayyyy too much time to worry over useless ****.
You would think Matt, Ryan and Drew would mention they have a restaurant every once in awhile on the show.

Don’t really understand the hate for Jones...he truly has the job most of us would kill to have. Much of life is timing and truthfully, he caught lightning in a bottle. Tubby leaves, BCG is a mess and we hire Cal. Cal has in some ways, made him. Then you have the UL fiasco. That guy has had a ton to talk about, and people listen.
Being a resident of Jefferson County, I commend Matt for being the ONLY media person to speak out about the UL corruption. It’s bejng going on for years and Matt was the only one who spoke about it.
The people who dislike him may get their wish. Assuming he runs for Senate, not sure the show can withstand his absence. He’s potentially leaving a goldmine on the table with that decision.

I don't think Jones has any more of an intention to run for the Senate as anyone here, but he is very smart in acting like it's a possibility, which helps keep his name out there even more.
I enjoy the show. The website is okay.

What kind of coverage would the KSR haters want to hear? More Dick Gabriel or you want more Dave Baker? Larty Glover (I like Larry, but he lets boring callers ramble way too long)? How about that Larry Vaught bringing it on Sunday mornings? I can barely cook my eggs without burning them when I catch those volleyball takes.
None of these other shows can hold a candle to KSR on the radio. It’s not close and the ratings show it.
Matt is our own Paul Finebaum. I get the “pandering to Billy Joe Wildcat” criticism and I could do without a Ryan Lemond pep talk myself tomorrow. I also think that’s a small part of the show and people need to lighten up and stop convincing themselves they’re too wise for KSR. I don’t need a KSR Tshirt, but I’m not petty enough to hate on a guy who can sell one and make some extra coin.

Michael Bennet actually graduated from UK, too. Has a show right before KSR.

I'm surprised they don't have a show on SEC Network yet. It would seem to fit in before Finebaum - like 1-3? I think the ESPN NFL radio coverage is a little bit of a tryout for him and he's become good friends with Finebaum.

He can run for Senate, but, after the election, he'll have as much time as he likes to talk sports again.

Disagree on the first part...I definitely would not want to be a radio host. That takes a certain level of ego and narcissism that "most of us" don't have. MJ fits that bill perfectly. The hate or dislike for him and his gig is due to a variety of factors, not the least of which is that he simply doesn't know much about sports. He is gifted his sports knowledge almost entirely from outside sources. This is very apparent when a caller immediately begins to show that he has the upper hand on the subject at hand...interruption and that caller speaks no more. His overall sports ignorance is rather mind boggling considering what he does for a living.
Senate...aside from the fact that I am sure he doesn't want to lose, he doesn't want to lose in a landslide, which is what would happen. He is smart enough to know that his UK label stops w/ the show...it doesn't pave a road to DC, and his liberal platform is not going to be a particularly favorable one going forward, especially if the country continues its upward climb.
I agree. I don't have that same passion for sports I had in my youth. Not sure I could be bothered to talk about it everyday.

These threads are always weird. I don’t watch the news, but I’ve yet to get on here and tell anyone to follow suit. Strange.
There was one in Florence many years ago (I was born in '71 and I was very young when it closed down). I believe it was at the corner of Burlington Pike and Turfway. IIRC, it had a Larry's grocery store connected to it, as well.
Hey OP, I don't listen to the show anymore but am just curious if you made it on the show. He seems to read this board and mention any threads about him on the show or at least he used to.
