Someone that actually has information on the question I'm asking, does Stoops try to control the offensive gameplan? Seemed to me like Dawson @ WVU was taking shot after shot and ALWAYS had a really great offense. I know he wasn't the main play caller at WVU, but you'd think he would being the same mentality with him ... unless there isn't the talent here ... which is hard to believe because WVU isn't that great atm.

Player potential and talent level far exceed the abilities of the coaching staff..Stoops is here to stay at least 2 more years. Hopefully our sidelines will look allot different next season. Hope to retain most of our players but look for mass exodus after the season..hope im wrong!
Merrimanm seems like he's probably an alright guy. But four years ago he was defending Joker Phillips the same way. Don't get me wrong, I don't think the football program is at Joker Phillips level of hopelessness yet. I'm just making the point that he'll always defend the coach no matter what.
Oh.. Well as I've already stated I'm not gonna argue with such cluelessness anymore it's pointless. And now that you said he was defending joker it makes all the more sense. It's fan like him that have accepted mediocrity for so many years is why we've always sucked. I just wish him and all the other fans like that would find another awful team to root for so he can justify their awfullness so some other program has at least one more fan that's cool with sucking. Like Kansas or somebody. He tried to say he has faith in stoops because of the FACT we've gotten better every year since he's been here. But compare this years schedule to last? We've gotten way worse! And the fact we're 4-12 in our last 16 games with zero quality wins with squeekers against ULL, USC, MIZZOU, and EKU. Shows we're not improving quite the opposite actually. And he still tried to say we've improved since last year. Making excuses like we overlooked EKU is why it was close and blaming it all on talent as for why we've been losing, but we haven't been losing! We've been getting EMBARRASSED by UNRANKED teams week in and week out. And the way he justified that was by saying it was talent. But you don't get EMBARRASSED by UNRANKED teams week in and week out because of talent. This is what killed it though the way he justified that was by saying mizzou and usc were quality wins and told me not to dare say they weren't quality wins. Like what? I laughed at that one can't even get mad at such cluelessness anymore he seriously believes mizzou and usc are good teams just because we beat them? Uhh I'm pretty sure when we beat a team it just means the other team really really sucks..
I just can't stand those fans though that see numbers right in front of their face like that. Then still try to defend themselves by saying its all opinionated but the 4-12 record in last 16 games with zero quality wins is a fact not an opinion! Then he still says he's seeing improvement every season? After the FACTS have been laid out in front of him. It's saddening that people like this support our program. It's people like him that accept garbage football and try justifying it is why we'll always be a bottom dweller because no one will take the fans serious when there's people who support our program with standards lower than the lowest. It's almost to the point I think he's a Louisville fan that trolls these boards just to say ridiculous stuff to get people riled up. But if he is a UK fan he must be a real nice kid. For anyone to be able to tolerate this abysmal coaching must be a really really nice kid with a super cool looking mark stoops autograph that he was fortunate enough to get on fanday. He did get a 'millionaires' autograph. So props to him! But kid don't ask thieves for their autographs those aren't the people we want to inspire us it leads to bad things in life. We can't have people like that being our youths idols! I want Americas future to be bright where thieves aren't being idolized!
