The sad part was that the CBS announcing team was talking about the big LSU win in '07 - I think it was Lundquist who complained that he turned on UK postgame after the game, and one caller asked about basketball.

"That's what Stoops has to fight against at Kentucky" he said, excusing that we were down 30 something to 0 at that point..

Yeah. One idiot talking basketball in the football postgame a decade ago definitely outweighs the bottomless budget he got for his new facility. It's definitely a better indicator than us completely filling the stands for .500 seasons.

If you had anything more than the most casual experience with BBN, you'd know that they're ready to pour just as much love into football if they're given even the slightest, crappiest reason to do so. But we aren't getting the slightest, crappiest reason right now. We're getting a kick in the nuts.

@KySportsRadio: There is no fanbase in sports that has been more loyal and Been given less in return than UK Football fans

m.twitter.com/KySportsRadio

Gotta agree.

Are these the same clowns who verbally fellate Mitch B? Maybe they should turn up the heat on that guy.

Too disinterested to look it up and i was intoxicated most of the weekend but I think BBM was that weekend. Reasonable to ask about the new coach...

Yep. BBM was that weekend and we just hired Billy G and at the time there was a lot of hype around that hire.

I'm amazed that fans still expect any kind of return after a history that is nothing but one gigantic let down . I've never seen such a glorious display of faith , hope and belief . It's not a bad idea to accept uk fb for what it is and be surprised if it ever proves you wrong .

It's what I started to do at the end of last year. So far, it's served me well. In some ways it's my way to say, 'Screw You UK,' instead of them saying,'Screw You' to me.

Jones just blasted Stoops and Barnhart on the postgame show.

In summary he said our offensive coordinators that have left are doing great. Neal Brown lost at Clemson by 1 touchdown today. We lost to Shannon Dawson. Our new coordinator was doing great before he came. We don't have facility excuses anymore. We don't have the talent excuse anymore. Basically, Jones checked everything off the list, and the last 2 remaining names to blame were Stoops and Barnhart.

Because his audience isn't listening to his crap anymore. He's trying to roll with the tide. Too late.

????

I mean, I get it, you dislike Matt Jones.

He sat there on the post-game show and blasted Stoops and Barnhart tonight.

Matt essentially said that those two have to answer for whatever the hell is going on. This all falls on them. Matt didn't have to say that, and this post-game has absolutely nothing to do with KSR.

Lol Sure. I highly doubt Jones is the problem...I bet mitch is going to beat him up now ,right?. Stop with the conspiracy theories. I gave stoops a pass year 1-3 myself....not now. All the blame goes where everyone is directing it...stoops/barnhart.

I'm pretty sure Matt Jones has said he would gladly have more football discussion on his show if it didn't suck so bad. It's depressing and nobody wants to have two hours of that everyday especially when basketball is what it is. And as was already said he laid the hammer just now on Stoops and Barnhart. If he was on a UofL show talking like that about them I guarantee he would be looking for a new job Monday. Nobody in the UofL media is allowed by Jurich to criticize anything they do.

That's fine, hence the "guess so" gif. I've come around slightly to Jones, but he's not great.

I mean I agree, he toes the company line. He's friends with those people, so it's probably hard. But I would have been really pissed off had he toed the line after tonight.

The fact that he went on the air, and blasted the AD and head football coach tonight made me feel a lot better. He was our voice tonight.

Well then I'm all in on it. He's not my favorite mainly due to his horrible recruiting info as he tries to pretend to be a guru in it, but as far as this goes, thats fine. Don't dislike him nearly as much as I used to. Statements like this up my opinion of him for sure.

There's no harm in supporting your coach or team , what is there to lose ? UK football has always been a failure and if you don't support it then you might as well not have anything to do with it . If you want to fault me for trying to be a good fan then go for it , I don't think turning on the program will benefit anyone but you do you .

X I don't think being a good fan is constantly saying "we've always sucked we're always going to suck". That sounds way more like a louisville fan. Just my 2 cents.

That's being a realist and a far better fan than saying fire the AD and fire the coach when you know the buyout prevents it . Have I lied in saying UK has always sucked ? Is that telling the truth ? It has nothing to do with being a fan . As a fan I have posted today that I support Stoops until he gets fired , not act like a complete ***** and actively try to speed up his exit . UK football has well known impediments keeping it from success and it's doubtful those will ever be overcome , it's obvious and stating what will likely happen is not being a bad fan .

Thank you, He went from give stoops time to we will always suck in a week. And he obviously doesn't even take his own opinion seriously. Flip Flopper of the year. I hope he redeems himself bc I've never taken his post into serious question before

Youre the reason we suck if you wont call for the firing of an incompetent coach. And no UK has not always sucked at football to answer your question we were top 10 during the Brooks era.

First of all, we haven't had great tradition. Always sucked? 3 SEC titles, a share of a national title, and 14? bowl games? That's not just pitiful. And saying we can't win in the future because we've always sucked isn't telling the truth at all.

For a week , that's sustained success right there . I forgot about all the dominance before Stoops , good catch captain freedom .

32 years ago there was talk of Louisville dropping football or moving to I-AA. Good thing for them there were some people with vision who wouldn't listen to the "realists".
