I didn’t read through this whole thread so maybe it’s already been mentioned. But Matt also predicted Mitch will step down this offseason. Apparently his contract says after July 1, 2026 he can become an advisor (assistant?) to the president for $800k/yr (good work if you can get it). I was half listening but I believe Matt said he would need to give 6 month notice, so we would likely hear something in January if that prediction proves to be the case.
That would be awesome

I’m sure he’s thinking “JQ may hang it up on this squad sensually.
It does make me laugh, though. Because 1. I truly dont think anyone knows exactly what Cal knew about the Sharpe situation and 2. This sort of thing is going to happen more and more, for all teams. And its probably going yo happen to us with Lowe.

It just never made sense to me why Cal would be fine with a guy not playing, whose talent right now has him roughly in the top100 NBA players on the season. Not playing Sharpe cost Cal his career, and potentially 10s of millions in salary. If he played, we win games, we make some noise in the tournament most likely.

But, this forum (or some at least), made it out like Cal and Sharpe were in cahoots on this whole thing. Which, I guess can be true? But we just don't know that .

And here we are. Players potentially sitting, not getting the full injury news, etc etc. The irony here is thick. San Antonio women thicc.

Yea the sharpe situation was bs. But at least he was good enough go be a lottery pick without playing. We got scrubs sitting out.

It already happened to us with Kerr and we needed his *** back as well.

I do think Kerr had some bad feet problems. Obviously not all players are gonna pull a sharpe when they get an injury.
He had a legit injury, but we do know for a fact he was ready to go by March and he sat to keep his medical redshirt for this year instead of coming back to help our team in March.

It's a shame he's stayed as long as he has in a place where he's mostly hated by the fan base.

I mean, he'll have made around $3.9 million combined over the last three years. He made $1.2 million in 2022, $1.2 million in 2021, and around $1 million in 2020.

That's $7.2 million for an athletic director who gave us three tournament wins since 2020.

This fraud had to overstay his welcome and make what is looking to be one of the worst hires in program history.

Mo D is horrible............why did Pope want him......don't understand
he doesn't fit the offense at all & sure hasn't done anything on defense or rebounding
Having Mo D float on the perimeter waiting for a wide open look after a drive/dish to him is one of the worst strategies I've seen used at UK in many years. I mean, that dude belongs on the block, cleaning up misses and dunking the ball. WHAT are we doing here?

I am not sure if any of the rumors are true or not. I believe if Pope had not tried to make excuses about the Louisville loss, there would now be far less rumors. He started all of this with his after game comments about something "out of character" happening before the game. And now, on KSR, the explanation he gave for making those comments , one week later mind you, is weirder than Owl ****. I wish him success because I am a UK nut. There are some players that definitely need some straight talk, but first, I think he should really straighten his own *** out. His comments are becoming embarrassing.

They did make a good point about him(Lowe) getting an extra year of CBB to earn money if he medically redshirts with just two games in.
I’m completely against this especially with NIL. If he can play, but chooses not to he should be denied the waiver.
I would bet that’s why Kerr was the first transfer gone. He could have come back for the tournament but wanted another year of NIL and sat out. His waiver was still approved.
