That's normally the case, would like to see Texas win this one.

Texas has 2 players in Taylor and Holmes. Turner is ok but needs another year with Texas. Texas offense not that good and their Defense has been terrible in the last 10 minutes of this game.

Kansas is a good ball team and, surprise surprise, will be a Top 2 seed in March (3-seed at worst).

Texas underachieves every year. They'll likely enter the tournament with 8-10 losses and lose in the first or second round. Barnes is a horrible coach.

Offensive execution wise this was easily our best game all year. For the most part shredded the Texas zone. Not sure why Texas is zoning. With their bigs inside they should be pressuring the perimeter tight and contesting everything inside. Instead their D gets spread too far out and their bigs have to come running to try and contest a shot because they're way out of position. Barnes isn't the brightest coach. We were also able to pack the lane and make Texas shoot perimeter shots. Outside of Holmes and Turner they are a really piss poor perimeter shooting team. Hopefully this is a spring board to the rest of the season. We have this tendency to play 3-5 games great then come out and begin to lay an egg for a few games.

I'm one of the people here who respect KU's program, but gosh you'd think SOMEBODY in that league could beat them some year. They're just pitiful. In basketball al the Big 12 is just a bunch of teams that beat up on each other, and all lose to KU. Every year. For more than a decade. Sad.

Best conference in the country! So much depth! Kansas must be the team of the god to accomplish such feats!

I'm watching the UCLA/Oregon game that followed

First, this is the most I've ever seen UCLA play in forever. They are on TV every week.

Secondly, I don't see how players can play on that Oregon court and not be distracted. It looks like it would mess with their spacing.

What you said is true, but it does seem like Kansas is the only school in that conference that recruits on an elite level year after year.

For instance, you don't hear much about Texas or Oklahoma grabbing big East or West Coast guys (obviously Texas landed Turner but he is a Texas guy). KU is really the only school in that conference that is able to land guys from outside of the region.

And I think we all know that recruiting is outcome determinative most of the time. When you are consistently fighting battles with the best pieces, you generally tend to win the war (see UK v. KU in 2012 and 2014). We probably know that better than any other fan base, outside of Alabama football, of course.
