1) Did they talk up Audige on the telecast? I hope so because that was not a man playing a comfortable game tonight. It was pretty clear he was in several forms of pain.

When he was on the bench in the first half, he was wearing some huge belt-ish contraption. I assume it was to keep his back warm.

In the 2nd half, he looked really gased, and he was immediately given some drink supplement as well as treatment on his thighs. Cramps?

He gutted out a nice performance tonight.

2) Could you tell the difference in the atmosphere on TV? The students came up big tonight and made a HUGE difference. That's what a college atmosphere is suppose to be.

Disappointing outcome in many ways. But it was fun night at the Welsh.

Yeah I noticed that too. Those were heat pads. He was strapping them to his back when he was on the bench.

Audige's effort and compete level are remarkable. He is the guy getting the steal when NU is down 6 with 7 seconds to play (even did tonight with the "foul"). I know he often gets carried away with the shot selection, but he is my favorite player.

Defensively he was excellent.
Offensively he was excellent for quite awhile, then he spun out of control.

Yeah, Chase has the defensive tenacity of Sanjay and the offensive moxie of Tre. He is our best straight up “baller.”

Still can’t help but think about what a weapon he would be if he just played a wee bit more in control. Same can be said for Buie.

Finally a game that felt like a college basketball game, About a 50/50 crowd and both sides were going at it. Facilities must not have been prepared for the size of the crowd because it was hot as balls in there. Of course, the empty seats were mostly in the fat cat section which is really unfortunate, but at least they weren’t occupied by red. They announced/honored student athletes at halftime, so the student turn out and noise was as good as it has been in a couple years. What a difference with the students there. Chase and Pete were obviously not 100%, but went out there and competed hard.

Has anyone noticed the difference in trajectory of CA's shot when he has a little time and when he is forcing his shots ?
