Screw Matt Jone!! Liberal POS!! He doesn't want Petrino or Briles because of their "character". But that dumbass will vote for Obama or Hillary? He's a jack***!!

Unbelievable. Are you saying that unless you are a neoconservative and swallow for Trump and all republicans that you can't be a Cat fan? This is absolutely unreal.

I truly don't get how politics are allowed here nor how people decide who they like or dislike based on who they vote for. Very shallow.

No. I'm saying he's a hypocrite and has poor judgement like a typical liberal.

Whenever someone says something to the effect of "I'm far from a liberal...BUT"- well, we're about to hear it from a liberal. Why not just come clean about it?

What does it matter if they are? You going to censor them because they don't believe same as you? Sounds very Russian or Chinese to me.

Do you even know what a "neoconservative" is?

A neoconservative is a former Trotskyite who eventually turned against the USSR and who then posed to be a conservative in the first place. The term also included their followers, who were too young to be among the original neocons.

Prominent neocons include: Max Boot, Bill Kristol, John Podhoretz, the entire staff of the Weekly Standard and majority of the staff of the National Review.

And they're Hillary supporters, all of them.

So don't ever mention Trump and "neoconservative" in the same sentence again, until you learn the definition of the word. Got that straight, moonbat? The neos are on YOUR team.

Nope, I'll leave that to you SJWs. Go and keep trying to censor the alt right. Go ahead and try to pass some more anti-1st Amendment hate laws against those guys. Go ahead and blast the neocons even though they are on your team in this election.

so, having an opinion that is different than yours causes you to dislike them? Hmmmm. Classy.

Well, when one of those groups is literally destroying this country from the inside out (planned by the way) it needs to be said that these are not simply "votes".

But I digress. I stay away from the political board because I end up in timeout because of it

Because you said "neoconservative" AND "swallow for Trump" which is logically impossible as neoconservatives and Trump fans detest each other. You confused neoconservative for paleoconservative.

Reps for Bobby Petrino contacted Matt for a sit down to try to get him on board with UK hiring Petrino because Matt was ripping fans who wanted him. They figured his voice was powerful enough to make it palatable to the administration. The administration told him behind closed doors it did t matter what he thought or said about Bobby it wouldn't happen.

Wouldn't hire Schnellenberger....wouldn't hire Leach....wouldn't hire Petrino.....Our administration has repeatedly failed us time and again. How can anyone make excuses for the athletics department.

When it comes to football we have morals. When it comes to basketball we become forgiving. Funny how that works isn't it?

Especially if you consider the democratic liberal polices that contributed to the economic crisis in Eastern Kentucky. Which is where Matt is from.
Mitch McConnell getting in bed with the owners of the coal companies contributed to the economic crisis in Eastern Kentucky.

I like the term moonbat. Let's forget about the disaster of a political climate we're in and get back to discussing our disaster of a football team.

It's Ok to bring to bring politics up on a Matt Jones thread. Since Moonbat Matt likes to inappropriately discuss politics on his sports show (he can't keep himself from doing it), it's fine for us to discuss the politics of Moonbat Matt on a sports board, especially on a thread that involves Moonbat Matt. Signed, one of the deplorables.

I don't listen to KSR every day just sometimes when I'm driving during the show hours and Matt called it before the USM game, he said if Stoops lost the USM game it would be almost impossible for him to have a good year

Dont like politics mixed with sports.

Matt, i dont listen to. Because im out of state. If he didnt bring politics i might iheart his show after games.

Also dont think we need a left vs right fight. We already got a sunshine pumper vs a fire stoops fight.

However, it is interesting that matt jones was sooo against petrino yet supports clinton. Hypocrite is correct.

Quoted for truth, post of the year, etc etc. Hammer meet nail.

Can't get rid of the coaching staff early for off field issues because they're all good guys off the field. Gillispie was yanked after two years.

It's apples to oranges I know. Can't do that in football or you create an endless cycle that takes forever to correct. Just ask Tennessee. It is however emblematic of how things get handled around here.

After these last two games in year 4 at any other member SEC institution save possibly Vanderbilt would there even be a debate about whether he is returning next year. It would only be a discussion of who we could hire. If Mitch isn't doing everything he can right now to.make contacts and attract someone worth a damn we are screwed. The time to act behind the scenes is now.

Anybody talking political affiliation on a sports message board has issues. Whether you are a liberal or conservative makes no difference. Think of an actual issue and debate that.

Mitch is slated to be on the NCAA tournament selection committee this year. Sadly he's going nowhere.

Mitch being on the committee has no real bearing on his future here. It helps UK basketball in no way as he has to leave the room when they are discussed. So I am not following you here with this post.

Idk about Jones, but Shane Boyd needs to stfu. I've never heard someone speak so much without saying anything.

Shane Boyd is a super nice guy but my goodness Glover has to get someone else to do post game stuff on 590. Boyd gives you the sugar coated version and endless football cliches. It's like listening to Stoops' and Eliot's coachspeak on a dose of premium grade HGH. A guy like Lorenzen would be the perfect fit. Tells it like it is. Or just get Lonnie Demaree on there again.

Jones basically said that Stoops will need to go this year without a miraculous turnaround. Said he never thought he'd say that this year, but it's true. Said the $12 million buyout was ill conceived, but they'll have to find a way to pay it this year with the way things are going.
If this were basketball this wouldn't even be discussed as being a problem...it would already be done

After he came out against Petrino, a mutual friend tried to setup a meeting with him to win him over. Said Petrino wanted the job badly.
So to summarize, Petrino wanted the job badly so he goes to MJ to try and win him over. Lmao, does MJ hire the coaches at UK now?
