Didn't say he had a choice. Just that it could hurt down the line. Haake could be a real good late inning guy if we are able to get Thompson back for Saturday starts.
Well, I would agree if the idea is that Haake would help out Machamer in the bullpen. But unless we had managed to scrape out wins in 7 of the last 9 by over using Machamer, the rest of the games wouldn't mean much anyway, so may as well use him now on "must win" games.
