It’s a slapdick fight between two countries who don’t have the balls to actually got to war to settle things because they know they need each other to prop up their economies.
So you think that is how America gets back at China to warn US Citizens about TikTok? 🤣🤣

That’s him in a nutshell
That’s so weak. I don’t put many on ignore here unless it’s to take a break from them (which to me is the equivalent or hanging up or walking away). Tucker just seems to block people on a whim and permanently. Like who is that much of a child?

No argument there. I use LinkedIn!
Don’t get me wrong. Social media can be great. For older folks it helps them keep in touch with people and family. But man, it’s garbage for the most part. My profession keeps me having to go through it for intel and trends but man some of the stuff you see is just Garbo. TikTok with that invisibility filter now people are legit posing nude to get attention with it. It was meant to be a fun “invisible man” type trend. But no. As usual people take it way too far.

I don't care one way or the other. I don't think it makes him soft, though. He's just following through with how he feels about Elon. Not a huge deal

Kyle Tucker is very sensitive and intolerant of opposing viewpoints. Twitter isn't the best place for someone like that.

Kyle Tucker is also a very good writer. He can continue doing his job well without Twitter. Seems to me this was a good decision for him.

Maybe he deactivated his account which means he could return .
Of course he will return. There is no other method for him to reach people or for them to see his work. He's just showing how tough he is and how he stands with his other (lib) journalists. He will be back by the time the UCLA game starts. Otherwise he becomes useless to his employer and won't have a job.

I missed all of this . Did something happen that made him delete/deactivate his account ?

@shaudyshaud Apparently, he’s not happy about the idea of free speech & his side no longer being able to control narratives & silence opposing thoughts, on Twitter. It’s just crazy to me that ppl lose their **** over Musk exposing the corruption & how they’re more upset with him for reporting it than the actual corruption, itself. But, I imagine it’ll end just like all the ppl who threatened to leave the country when Trump was elected in 16.

How do you not see the irony of this statement? Free speech absolutionist Elon is literally silencing journalists that are unfavorable to him.

Also, if you’ve paid attention, all of the largest social media sites’ algorithms actually amplify conservative viewpoints because they garner more engagement overall.

He reinstated the guy who was tracking his jet. He wants a 24 hour delay on posting that kind of stuff. Kinda hard to blame him after a (different) guy used that tracking info to follow & eventually, block his car & climb on the hood, thinking it was Elon, when it was actually his son in the car. Pretty F’d up.

I don’t give a **** yeah.

The minute you wake up and realize every minute you spend online some entity, somewhere is turning you into a datapoint to commodify so they can sell you **** the better off you’ll be.

Beside your boy Elon is in bed with the Russians and the Chinese up to his eyeballs. So it doesn’t matter to me in the end. I ain’t changing nothing and neither are you.
Is Elon in bed with the Russians now? Last time I checked it was Trump. And the Democrats spent billions of $$$ only to find nothing.

Meanwhile, our fearless and witless leader Biden put a stop on our domestic oil production (undoing the energy independence that Trump brought) and decided it would be cleaner for the environment to buy Russian and Middle Eastern oil. Seriously, the left spent billions wasting their time then crippled US energy independence in favor of buying Russian oil and you clowns still blame everyone else for being in bed with them.

WAKE UP

Not true. They undoubtably disproportionately censored conservative accounts. Musk evening the playing field is a wonderful thing

The internet could have been something for good. Social media could have been a good.

Then people ruined it. Like we always ruin good things.

This post is a complete contradiction.

You just admitted that humans ruin everything, but then say that the internet and social media could have been good.

No, they couldn’t have. Humans ruin everything because that is human nature. It’s the same reason communism and socialism don’t work. There will always be social stratification. There will always be haves and have nots. There will always be (to quote a favorite film) “d*ks, p**sies, and a**holes”. That’s human nature.

The trouble with socialists is they want to deny human nature right up until the point that millions lose their rights, become political prisoners, starve to death, or all of the above. Hell, now they even want to deny biology.

is there some sort of controversy here or something? did he just decide he didn't like twitter or what? did he get in a fight with someone?
