Watched him in HS on the baseball field, kid is a stud. In our district for sports, never heard a bad thing about him either. He will be a star in MLB

Alabama will have their hands full with Murray, good for him winning the Heisman.

As far as the game goes in the playoff, the Sooners can't run the ball effectively, and Bama has by far the best defense OU will face for the season, so Murray will have to be lights out.

OU defense has to get better in a hurry, Bama will score at will against them, but if Bama's defense collapses, then a scoring contest favors the Sooners. should be fun to watch.

He would be stupid, IMO. He can play 20 yrs in MLB, I was shocked he didn't go baseball out of HS.

Don’t have to look any further then former Heisman Trophy win / multi- sports star Bo Jackson. He always only wanted to play baseball, didn’t really have the need inside himself to play football, but eventually gave into the hype and played football. Worst choice he ever made. Yes he was a stud for a short time frame but his football injury killed his baseball career, the game he loved.

I'll be a Kyler Murray fan forever if the land stealers can knock off Bama.

If I were him I'd go the MLB route for many of the reasons already covered ITT.

He can make much more money being an average baseball player than he would being an Elite NFL Quarterback. If you look at Jeff Smrzjia from Notre Dame who was a very good WR and Pitcher, he was in the same draft class as Megatron. as an average pitcher he made way more money than the greatest receiver of the era ever did. Pick baseball Kyler.

Edit. So it turns out Smrzjia hasn't made as much as Megatron yet. Megatron made 121 Million over 10 years. With Smrzjia is slated to make 127 million over 14 years with the guaranteed contracts in the MLB.

If he's Top 3 NFL QB draft pick, I'd play football.

Well deserved award. Kid is a special football player.

He was a better football player. It's what made him a legend, not baseball.

well with the new "Cant touch the Quarterback rules" in the NFL who says he couldn't play 20 years in the league! :)

NFL quarterbacks have gotten BIG pay raises lately. Kirk Cousins got 3 years, $85 million. Garapolo got 5 yrs for $137 million. I think the smart play is to go NFL and give it a go. If he’s a bust, it would be much easier to go from the nfl to mlb than mlb to nfl if he ends up being a Bubba Starling type of baseball guy.

Easy. Just play both like Prime Time.
I disagree because he plays the QB position. That guy needs to be more committed to the team than any other player if he's intent on making more money (starting QB money) playing football than playing baseball.

EDIT: Deion played a position(s) in football where you can be inserted relatively easily: cover corner and punt returner. When he left baseball for a year, that's when you saw him make more contributions on the offensive side of the ball.

yea, Bama will show up with more motivation than his OL can imagine, let alone cover. Expect uglier than first thought......hope he survives uninjured for the A's.

Sure, but just think if he WAS able to pull off both like that. We might forget about PrimeTime, Bo, etc. He might be the real version of Superman.
