I do think it is pretty odd that Nagao's injury was serious enough to injury default, yet he is slated to go without a backup ID'd a week later. If he bent his thumb back with a sprain, you think they could have just taped him up really well. It looked (and sounded) more like a broken wrist to me, as has been generally assumed. Match notes can be really frustrating especially when it comes to known injuries. I think accounting for Nasdeo is a good move.

I don't think Nagao was "slated to go." I think that the coaching staff doesn't really care about KYPSW, and therefore they don't have the staff update Match Notes for us.

Only the match notes. The other team has to send out the right guy. The only time "Any" works is for where the opposing team has multiple guys listed in the match notes. Otherwise, the picks would be wildly onerous to pick through. Let's say Drexel listed two guys at 197, and everyone picked the way you're talking about. Picks would look something like this:

197 Mirasola MD Ameer. Mirasola TF Schmo. Mirasola Fall any other Drexel.

Sorry, missed the question about Match Notes. We're only using the ones PSU posts. That being said, if someone posts the other team's match notes in time for me to review them and make a change, almost like what happened with Nasdeo, then that would be the way we could use them. But, we can't have people going out to the opposing team's website, making their picks, and saying, "Well, they were in the Match Notes." I am not retired, so Wednesday mornings, when Match Notes comes out, I am generally doing something. The only way Nasdeo got added was that @86PSUPaul texted me with the suggestion.

Edit to add: Lehigh's match notes didn't get published until Thursday at 1:33 PM. If that happened for a Friday dual, that would leave 30 hours to get picks in. Thirty hours after our Match Notes were out for Drexel, about 25 people had already put their picks in.
