Well, here we are. Today is one of the most exciting days of the year! All of the duals have been wrestled, the scores tabulated, and it's the day that the KYPSW Dual Season Champion and All-Americans are named. Yay! I'm certain most of you have been sitting around all morning, in nervous anticipation, refreshing your screens every ten seconds to see these results. So, here goes.
@bdoncsecz,
@Hockeygod11 and yours truly were in a tie for the last spot on the podium going into this dual.
@bdoncsecz, however, dug deep, and scored 23, to our 22, leapfrogging us. Not to be outdone, Shifty15 scored 24 in the final dual, jumping him into a tie with bdonc. Due to his massive 137 posts on this board, to bdonc's 41, Shifty wins the tie, and ends in 7th, with bdon still on the podium in 8th.
After a down year last year, perennial podium finisher
@Acacia finishes in 6th. Unsurprising, since he rarely misses.
@Nightking grabs the 5th spot,
@Goggles Paisano finishes 4th. Question: is the correlation or causation between getting off bottom by driving a car with stone wheels, better or worse than deadlifts?
Last year's 2nd place finisher,
@PSUflyfisher drops to a still respectable third for this year.
And, check out the next guy,
@RoarLions1. He puts up a 25-spot in the final dual to jump over everyone but
@PSUbluTX. I can tell you that Roar's pride took a hit last year when he didn't make the podium, but he put the work in during the off-season, and came roaring (<snicker>) back to finish with the silver medal.
And, finally, what can you say about
@PSUbluTX? This dude (gender assumption, I know) was Mr. Steady from about the Iowa match on, and really just dominated throughout. Congratulations PSUblu, you are the 2025-26 KYPSW Dual Season Champion. I suggest you tell all your friends, and record their reactions for us to see.
Prizes, as always, will be in the mail shortly. And, rules for the B1G portion of the contest will come out sometime, so be on the lookout.
Thanks for playing!
