Shouting obscenities to fan. Real class act. Any way we can deny he ever went to Duke?
OFC[

Total lack of class- like his shirtless championship walk thru Cleveland after winning the NBA title. Coach K would be quite disappointed. OFC

Success can be shown off the court too. I defer to the Grant Hills, Shane Battiers for better Duke ambassadors overall in the NBA....

I did not factor in Grant. Kyrie could retire today, and his career would not match Grant's. Grant would be a top 10 ALL TIME player had he stayed healthy.

However I'd say when it's all set and done, Kyrie will have the best NBA career of any Duke player ever.........until Tatum and Bagley surpass him.

I dont disagree with you at all JWill in terms of talent, and what transpires in Kyrie's NBA career. Its a shame we only got a glimpse of him in Durham, and I enjoy watching him.

My primary concern went back to the OP and this off the court incident w/a fan. Doesnt matter whether its Irving, Okafor, Miles Plumlee, Laettner, etc- you hate to see our ex guys cast in a bad light when they move on in their careers....It is after all,
#TheBrotherhood.

Hopefully Kyrie grows up and can just walk away next time....OFC

I can't comment about Kyrie either way, good or bad but I think its wrong to yell obsentities to a fan that helps him support his over paid profession.

That's nothing to him at all. He's what 22? He brought Cleveland a championship with Lebron, they burned his jersey. Fans can't say what they want to players either.
Guess I look at it different but then again I was in a profession where people steadily said," my taxes pay your salary!" My come back to that," well pay them on time so maybe I can get a raise!"
He's young he will learn from it and I bet if he wasn't a top player in the league we wouldn't be hearing about it.

It makes zero sense

I dont think its "hostility." Its just differing views amongst our Duke fans, and if it were a player from a rival school the majority would probably be much harder on the individual.

K justs sets such high standards, and has done so well establishing the Duke brand which makes it disappointing. I am sure KI will learn from it.

I don’t have a problem with folks that are disappointed in what happened. But to the OPs assertion that he wishes that he never went here or was associated with Duke- that to me is insane and beyond over the top.

I thought it was hilarious. I would yell the same thing if some drunk bastard was giving me the business. If a kid heard me say it, I would apologize and feel bad, but in the moment its kind of hard to consider those types of things.

Boston fans will probably buy him $25,000 worth of Jameson to make up for it. I like Kyrie. He made a single angry comment. Why is **** like this even news? I mean, Roy basically said the same thing to the NCAA not too long ago.

Would you deny your kid for anything like this? HELL NO. No telling what that fan shouted out to him for him to react like he did. It had to be something serious.

Ah, maybe because he's a very high profile player who attended Duke??? Be my guess..

Did you know that more than 700,000 people die every year due to mosquito-borne diseases? Most of those deaths are children 5 years old and under. My overly dramatic point: Americans need to get their heads out of their butts and pay attention to real issues.

Getting into sports and having a favorite team is great. We all need that balance in our lives to take us away from the heavier stuff. It just goes too far when folks dissect every little tidbit.

He just yelled "Where's Lebron?", but it was his drunk tone that probably set off Kyrie.

I am not the biguest NBA fan, but I watch it when I'm bored. As far as Kyrie, I'm not a fan of cursing, but I'm not gonna let it stop me from rooting for the guy, he wore a Duke jersey and I'm glad he did. Other players have done jerky things and they were cast off.

Lol let me guess...it’s all selfish thugs, right??
Nothing to do with thugs but more the way the system is set up.One they play too many games which makes it physically impossible for the players to play effectively all year long. The playoff system of approximately 75 percent of the teams making the playoffs. This cheapens the regular season which the fan is asked to pay a fortune for.

Not an attack but why?As far as I know he had been a great representative for Duke

Never been a fan. I don’t like his game ( not saying he’s a bad player), and I don’t care at all for how he handled his departure from Cleveland.

I don’t think he’s a bad person, I just don’t care for him personally.
