Did you know that more than 700,000 people die every year due to mosquito-borne diseases? Most of those deaths are children 5 years old and under. My overly dramatic point: Americans need to get their heads out of their butts and pay attention to real issues.
Getting into sports and having a favorite team is great. We all need that balance in our lives to take us away from the heavier stuff. It just goes too far when folks dissect every little tidbit.
Interesting how K gets a pass on this but Kyrie doesn't, huh, Q? K talks tough and "tells it like it is," but Kyrie is like, a thug or something, apparently.
Did you perceive my response as angry at you? That was not my intention, Hart. All I did was answer a question you tossed out on the board. Have a beer Denver.....OFC
Don't we have better things to discuss. OFC
It really is. The days of the Grant Hills, Battier and Reddicks are gone. It's not a thug thing it's called not taking any crap. Kyrie isn't the only player wanting out of Cleveland not every one wants to be over shadowed by King James some like to do things on their own accord. The NBA is a business not college and players build their brand off their play. Carmelo, Koby, Wade, Shaq, Jordan, Carter, Howard, Kidd, Paul all have had run in with fans don't see Marquette, UNC, Wake, Syracuse or their colleges trying to forget them or disown them.Man some people need to be a little bit less sensitive. This is a total non issue.

Chronicle writers?K has never "gotten a pass" from the media on talking to the officials, and I know he oversteps his bounds at time on language at times. However how many fans has he yelled at? Thats hardly a fair comparison. In fact its way off base.

Kyrie has already owned the mistake and apologized. And that even made it onto ESPN.
Will he learn from it? Yeah, that kid has his head screwed on pretty straight. He has and will continue to represent Duke well.
Good for him!!Glad to hear ESPN actually publicized that part!

I’m kind of stupefied on everyone busting his chops. Guess there are a lot here that haven’t done anything stupid and then had to humble themselves publicly. Good for you — unfortunately I’ve not been that blessed.
Character is revealed when you mess up and what you do about it.Of course we all make mistakes. I simply know we would have much more "busted the chops" of a ruval player much more here, and certainly dont fault the OP for starting the thread. We like to think our players carry themselves w/a little more dignity than others, because of the leadership and example set forth by K.

Lol let me guess...it’s all “selfish thugs,” right?
Apparently not, Sky. I really thought someone would call me a jerk and that would be the end of it. I had no idea it would go on and on like this.Don't we have better things to discuss. OFC

Also, because everyone values my opinion so much, I, too, think the NBA is awesome.
I was disappointed in Kyrie's reaction, but it's not like he went crazy and ran into the stands and beat someone. Oh, and I've been disappointed in almost everyone at sometime in my life, including my children, wife, and myself. We're all human, and if you catch us on the wrong day (after some stressful situation)...**** can happen. Hopefully, as we mature, it'll happen less and less.

Well you're wrong mr. Mod..
Just kidding that's how it seems to go here sometimes though
No I just literally hate it lol
Chronicle writers?

Dirt couldnt agree more, and perhaps part of that comes from growing up TOO FAST in a sense and is a fallacy of the OAD system...Just a thought, because the kids are on a pedastal SO QUICKLY, and the difference in one year and 4 years of maturation under the GOAT is enormous...

I agree, Hart. But that said, all of us can do some stupid stuff sometimes. I like to think I'm pretty level headed nowadays, but I've had some very stressful times lately, and I haven't always handled it as well as I should. Stress can really mess with you, young or old...jmo.

Better than the NFL. 4 hours of commercials and blathering by two old white dudes. There's only 11 minutes of live ball action. It's mind numbingly boring. The commercials are clearly geared towards slow thinkers too. Also, because everyone values my opinion so much, I, too, think the NBA is awesome.
Well said my friend. Self control can be a tough task. The fans pay for their tickets and to a point can yell the opposing players within reason like 'hey Kyrie LeBron's gonna squash you." But there is a fine line that fans have no right to cross and then I can see players reacting like they do sometimes. OFC
Agree 100%. I know I have said things in reaction to what someone said to me that I later regretted. Sometimes when you react, it isn't just about the moment you're in, but about a lot of different things going on in your life that finally the tank is full, and you have to empty it a little. Fans yell stuff at players all the time, and in my opinion, your ticket money does not give you the right to do that. The ticket money is for entrance into the event. Everyone in here who has never reacted to someone with an insult or curse after something they said to you, raise your hand and be crowed he who is without sinI was disappointed in Kyrie's reaction, but it's not like he went crazy and ran into the stands and beat someone.
