Cousins could absolutely dominate in this tourney. He might be the most talented big to ever play the game. And he’s still really good and only like 34 years old. He would be on an nba roster and starting if not for his demeanor and off court issues.

And there in lies the rub, outside of one year at UK hes never really understood what it means to be a part of a winning team.

pretty sorry basketball on display yesterday

when they first started televising this event i think the quality of play was higher, i remember the marquette alumni team played good ball—almost as good as sheppard’s AAU team

And so the lights flicker for a fleeting moment at Cheatum Hall and then go back out.

an elderly woman is smiling with the words what a shame written below her

I do think it's fun and I don't really understand why anyone has a problem with this tournament? You don't have to watch! I personally am enjoying watching some former Cats play some summer basketball. They even made me scream about CCC because they still can't hit free throws.

Yeah definitely something exciting to watch while we are all waiting on the beginning of college basketball again.

i guess euroleague level pros like gabriel & willis don’t really participate in this tournament any more? i remember that kyle hines was one of the best players in europe and had his own team the first two or three years

We might need to just let Lamb and Aaron H jack threes and hope to outscore them. We are running no offense.

Cousins was an all star 4 years in a row, all nba twice, then he tore his Achilles. He came back and tore his ACL. He was never remotely himself again but was on a roster thru 2022 despite missing 60% of the games over his last 4 seasons. Nothing of your narrative is accurate.

He has continued playing in Puerto Rico, Taiwan, and Mongolia but I doubt a washed up, hobbled Cousins could dominate or even be a top competitor in this tourney.
