Back from a full SoFi stadium where Ram fans showed up. Staff at gates have vaccinated check down so lines move quickly. Season ticket holders in lottery for Super Bowl tickets at face value.

Are those tickets only good if the Rams make the Super Bowl? Or that is a special perk for hosting the game? If so, Chargers season ticket holders get the same deal?

OK -- I guess you missed the post where I said I couldn't care less if BIden gets reelected. And if you don't want to see the democrats staying in the WH, I suggest you get the nomination away from the MAGAs and back to the Reagan conservatives.
You’re lying to yourself if you still judge yourself to be a Reagan conservative. You are a big government liberal. A Reagan conservative would do anything to drive Biden from office. Biden’s policies are of the Sanders/Warren playbook. “Couldn’t care less” is cowardly. It is ok to be pro abortion, big gov, high tax, high spend liberal, soft on crime, anti Israel, just admit it.

A true conservative would ALWAYS vote for MAGA over Warren/Sanders socialism. They might have to pinch their nose in doing so, but they would. You aren’t truthful, to yourself.

Great! 👍🏻 Ode to Joy 🎹🎼🎶🎵

He told MPs scientists believed the Omicron wave had peaked nationally.

Earlier, in a statement to MPs in the House of Commons, the prime minister said:
  • Mandatory Covid passports for entering nightclubs and large events would end, though organisations could choose to use the NHS Covid pass if they wished
  • People would no longer be advised to work from home and should discuss their return to offices with employers
  • Face masks will no longer be mandated, though people are still advised to wear coverings in enclosed or crowded spaces and when meeting strangers
  • From Thursday, secondary school pupils will no longer have to wear face masks in classrooms and government guidance on their use in communal areas would be removed "shortly"
Further announcements on the easing of travel rules and restrictions on care home visits in England are expected in the coming days, Boris Johnson added.

One sure thing that will happen is when the business across the street eschews with the Covid pass you can be sure that they will make all the business. This will make the businesses opting to keep using the Covid pass to also do the same when they see their revenues plummet.

Bwahaha! Gotta love it when some guy on the internet presumes to tell me who I am.

Always vote for MAGA? So I should "hold my nose" and vote for the depraved, crime boss buffoon for -- checks notes -- abortion which went up, tax/spending when the debt/deficit went up "bigly" and crime when the murder rate had a YUGE increase? So even the "good stuff" we were supposed to swallow for was a lie.

Under the former guy, the abortion rate ROSE for the first time in years. Abortions had been in precipitous decline for quite some time, reaching their lowest point in 2017. 2018 and 2019 saw increases. Still no data for 2020.

High spend liberal? Trump was racking up record debt even before COVID:

High tax? You mean like Trump's idiotic tariffs that failed so miserably we had to bail out farmers?

Soft on crime? US murder rate surged 30% on Trump's watch. https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-ta...-about-the-increase-in-u-s-murders-in-2020/Co
The brilliant former WH Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany shared the tweet as an attempt to blame Biden and then had to quietly delete it when she realized it happened on her boss's watch. (That stat represents the largest year-over-year increase in murders documented since the FBI began collecting yearly data on murders and far surpasses the previous record of 12.7 percent increase in the number of murders in a year, set in 1968.)

I don't need any lectures from Trump humpers on what it is "OK to be." Take a seat in the corner and spend some time worrying about who you are with the Matt Gaetz/MTG clown show. I'm good over here with Bill Kristol, William Weld, William Webster, Michael Steele, John Kasich, Colin Powell, Michael Hayden, Mona Charen, Michael Medved, Tom Ridge, Susan Molinari, John Negroponte etc. (That's OK if y'all have never heard of them because you didn't start paying attention to politics until Obama, but some of us have been involved for a long time and know what traditional conservatism is.)

Still with the masks but...more progress, the dominoes are starting to fall despite joey emperor's protest against the US Supreme Court's ruling. Follow the law you old, feckless curmudgeon, follow the law. To quote a leftist reporter after joey's "press conference," "Clean up on aisle 3." Wow...wow.

Starbucks announced in a memo this week that it will no longer require that its employees be vaccinated against the coronavirus after the Supreme Court rejected Democrat President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for large private businesses.

Starbucks Chief Operating Officer John Culver said, “We respect the court’s ruling and will comply.”

“In Tuesday’s memo, Culver said the company continues to strongly encourage vaccinations and booster shots,” the Associated Press reported. “The company also told workers on Tuesday that they shouldn’t wear cloth masks to work, and should instead use medical-grade surgical masks.”

The move comes after Starbucks said during the first week of January that it was going to require all of its U.S. workers to get vaccinated.

Lots of quick serve category businesses were going to have a problem with the mandate.

The main purpose of the mandates was to get more people vaccinated, California is up to 80%, so the program worked. Between Omicron and vaccinations there can not be many people with zero protection at this point. Time to move on

Something we can agree on.

I appreciate her thoughts and I sympathize. Just way too much catastrophic language though. Her life isn't destroyed, it isn't over, she can still be or do whatever she wants. Somebody did her a disservice by telling her or teaching her that she will be limited by a short-term setback.

It sucks. She isn't alone. She may have to work harder, but the only person limiting her success right now is her own thinking.

It's frustrating because she has a right to be angry and disappointed about what has happened. But damn....it's NOT the rest of her life! The river always finds a way around the rock. Be the river!
I raised daughters to be adults not women, not girls and most certainly not ones who had to have an easy path. EVERY team they ever were on (and they were on very very good ones), they were the smallest. And they were starters. You either decide to work to overcome hindrance, or you succumb to it.

I get what you are saying.
But there are a lot of people that are not going to recover from this. And I am not just talking about the suicides (3 in my kids school district as compared to 0 the last 5 years combined) but those who have developed serious mental issues.

I know a HS girl who had never had anything but A's her entire life.
Her senior year was a disaster and she was getting C's and D's and got so socially traumatized she went from heading to Stanford to now she is at the local CC and living at home.

She may get back on course, but it is not happening immediately and will most certainly affect the rest of her life.

Then there is the increased drug addiction etc....
