Does this LA loss take the luster off MC's win over them last week?
Some may think that, but they’d be wrong. No it doesn’t. Some people use logic “Well BR beat LA 35-3 and MC only beat them 17-12, so Rice should beat MC 27-14”...If it was only that simple. Every week brings different challenges. BR obviously saw something on the film that they used to their advantage that they may not have saw if they played a week earlier. MC didn’t have Kyle David last week, LA didn’t have Noah Jones last week or this week, both D-1 talents. When LA gets Jones back though....look out! I’m guessing MC, BR, and LA will all be playing in November and that’s what matters

Bean looked good after his one game off. Plunkett did too. The OL protected Bean and the DL put a solid rush on the Loyola QB - 2 INTs were when he got hit on. Rice seemed quicker too. LA will roll rest of schedule and will be healthy going into the playoffs at 7-2 and sitting as a dangerous 6-8 seed.

As I said a couple times this past week that game would give clarity. Rice is very good and Loyola is down this year. No outcome would have surprised me except for the actual one. I thought rice by 14 was posdible but unlikely.

We now see Rice is focusing on D with success. A win next week and they have a good shot at 9-0 and the last blue title if they merge.

We can now see the rice lower level success with these guys is a real thing. Beating Loyola by 32 is no easy fete.
