Appeared to be a business like beating of Penn today. The final was 17-12.

Now on to Foxboro. Only the Cats have clinched a spot. But the other top 4 seeds ( UNC, BC & Fla.) are heavily favored to join them. By my eye, any of the 4 could win it all.

Unfortunately I think this is as far as it goes. BC is a heavy favorite against the Cats, and no one is beating North Carolina this year.

Not looking good down 11 to 6. Outscored 10 to 3 last two quarters. Heading to 4th quarter all momentum with Boston College

That final save was just so casual, considering all that was at stake at the time. That goalie has ice in her veins.

I thought she was a liability until the 4th quarter, but she came up huge when it mattered at the end. Sunday will be tough, but if golf could beat Stanford, lacrosse can beat UNC.

Couldn’t hit shots and lost draw control which is key. Maddie had four assists but no goals

Sounds like they got smoked. I guess UNC is just that good. Won 20-4 in the semis. Seems a bit lopsided.

They double and even triple-teamed Taylor to take her out of the game. From the portions that I watched seemed like they were the better team so not surprising we lost. Wonder how next year is going to look since we lose quite a few of our best players except for taylor. Going to have to do really well in the portal.

We needed a fifth quarter today.

But a great season nonetheless. Trust that Kelly will get a great recruiting class for next year. Relying on the portal to plug holes in our roster due to graduation can be secondary, depending on who’s available. Either way we need some new offensive weapons to complement Maddy and another rising lefty Aditi.

Just got home. That was rough. I've watched maybe 10 NU WLAX games in my lifetime, all but one in the Final Four and that was the first time NU was obviously not the better team. That North Carolina defense was stifling. Cats held their own on the defensive end but they couldn't do jack on offense.

Was visiting Providence from Los Angeles and went with son to the game. The NC defense was so good. They were quicker, stronger and the more aggressive team. Heels' best player, a freshman redshirt, had 6 goals. They had at least three freshman who scored and they are going to be a very, very tough team to beat for the next few years. Think UCLA under Wooden. Assuming we play North Carolina in the NCAAs in the near future, we will need a Cats women's golf performance to win.

NC was clearly the better team and had not Schweitzer stood on her head in goal, the score would have been similar to NC's semifinal game
NC was more aggressive defensively , creating multiple turnovers. Combined with draw control, NU did not stand a chance.

NC's offball movement was superior to NU's NC also had a couple of hard outside shooters, similar to NU's Rattigan from 2023
