Lake Taylor Question

I’m sitting here in Garrisonville less than hour from kickoff of the Woodbridge at North Stafford game some years back. And I was thinking about the last time I was here for a game. And it was when Lake Taylor kicked a last second field goal to beat North Stafford.

That was back when Lake Taylor had a run in Class 5. Now, they are in Class 3.

What happened to their enrollment? It’s very unusual that a school like theirs lose so many students over the years. It’s one thing for economically and socially depressed areas of Virginia to have this issues. But not a school in the eastern part of the state.

Anyone know what their enrollment issue is?

I think at one point they were going to change Lake Taylor to some specialty school. I also think LT was always playing up before this new classification came into play where they played at their enrollment. Lake Taylor had some banger games from around 2010 up to the covid season where they lost to Salem on their home field.
