timnsun, your right. I went a little too far with that one. I will wait after LOI day to post stuff like that. So I deleted it. It doesn't help.

Why wait? Is your viewpoint of the staff going to change at all, depending on what happens in the next two weeks? Without your realistic viewpoint I'd have some excitement and hope for the next two weeks. Please, please, crush that now.

If we pull in Lamar Jackson, FitzPatrick, Farniok, Collin Miller, Ivey and Butler....we will have a solid class and id be happy (guys listed above have us as leaders or close to it so as long as we close, we should have them) and anyone else along with them is bonuses....maybe Simmons, J Williams, Chase Allen and Fant. We have a shot at a good class and the guys listed above do have us as number ones...so its not just wishful thinking.

As highly rated as a safety Lamar Jackson is, Nebraska's biggest advantage in his case is he wants to play CB and N will allow that for him, or so we hope. He's an elite player at an elite position. IMO the other two "elite positions" are QB and DT. POB looks the part and has film to back it up. Let's hope the coaches continue the growth of the D-linemen we have currently. Next year a difference maker at DT will be huge for the '17 class. Just my opinion.

I've tried to stay away from following recruiting as closely as a use to but as usual I've invested alot of time of late. That being said I really want Jackson, Simmons, Fitz and Butler after watching films on these kids. Setting myself up for disappointment again I'm sure but its what makes this board fun this time of year.. We could get them all or lose them all.. I kinda feel sorry for Maryland, big dog Ohio State just swooped in a stole a 5 Star LB and a 4 star QB right in their backyard.. Smh

I'm curious what you sell in your job?

you don't think Confidence is the number 1 thing in sales? It's the first thing you notice when someone walks into a room before a word is said. Not cocky but confident.

I'll be happy to share my personal information with you, if your looking to spend a little $

Haha. Some people on this board are superstitious and believe that recruits read every post on every chat board. I seem to disagree. But I'll be a little nicer during these last few weeks. I'll keep my mouth shut all spring too if they close well. But if they give us the same old BS that they are currently feeding us, I wont respect them. Especially the 2 guys on the staff that are like the worst recruiters I have ever seen. Personalities like a brick wall.

I know right, it makes you sick to your stomach when you here about OSU stealing away recruits from Maryland, Huskers and other teams busting there *** to become something again and the worst part is they don't even half the kids they get. All year i kept hearing about them getting this kid and that kid and a week later stealing away this kid...its like Christ, how many recruits are they taking or needing? And is there no other recruit they can go after or get....no its got to be the kid committed to Maryland, or MSU or the Huskers?

Don't you also have a board that you were going to post showing your order for recruits? If I give you $5, will keep your mouth shut for longer? No, confidence is not the #1 thing in sales, not acting like a f*#ktard is the #1 thing.

Your couple dozen posts have shown a steady hand for axe-grinding. It's because our coaches are doing something unethical, right?
No
I have seen no updates suggesting heavy recruiting activity by any school other than Nebraska.
He mentions his finalists but I'm not seeing anything that would show they are recruiting him hard right now.
I'm not alluding to anything just honest question.
Those other schools don't seem to be doing much with him.

Your posts are nothing but "honest questions" that imply that something is wrong.

Maybe he's been clear to recruiters about his intentions, and told most of them to pound sand.

Confidence is not the number 1 thing in sales. Identifying a customer's needs is always number one no matter what you are selling. You can be the smartest, slickest talking, best closing most confident salesman in the world but if you aren't identifying their needs FIRST and spending every minute providing solutions to that need(s), nothing else matters.

When salesmen start thinking their confidence, looks, car, etc are their calling card, it automatically puts the customers needs as secondary importance and, over time, doesn't work. Usually after a few crash and burns, a little self reflection gets them back on track.

Identify a customer's need and provide a solution and a fat, ugly guy with zero confidence will outsell the stud all day long.

What if the salesmen is a saleswoman and has a smoking body with great cans and amazing face?

He will listen to her a little longer than normal but if she can't provide a solution to one of his needs, then it's a no go.

We all would listen to a Yugo saleswoman with D cups but at the end of the day if we didn't want a Yugo it didn't matter how long she was willing to gag on our knob.

What I've found are, the ones whose need is "getting laid" will buy from her if she provides it but that doesn't even work out well long term for various reasons. We had a girl everyone called "The Bobcat" and she banged every guy who would buy from her. That worked out for the first year. By year two she was "old puss" and her sales dropped considerably. A few years later she was out.

USC and UCLA are in his final four. Both recruiting/recruited him hard. IMO, he would have been a Trojan if not for the staff shake up.

Ucla stopped recruiting Jackson in november. This is straight from the Rivals publisher for ucla. Usc was still pushing hard up to this week but due to their coaching turnover they are a mess - lots of defensive recruits bailing that weren't personally recruited by one of the staff members that was retained. Asu has been pushing hard for Jackson since the beginning, as was Nebraska. This kid is legit. You don't need to worry about whether he is overrated or not being pursued by others for some reason. Ucla has just made some bad decisions on what guys they are after. They also stopped recruiting Javon McKinley -- that will likely also backfire.

OK well that would confirm what i had heard. very little recruiting activity around Jackson.
thats fine.
based on how crazy recruiting is around other players of his caliber it is unique.
my guess is he told recruiters he was done.
he almost assuredly is committed to nebraska.

Actually most signs point to ASU. Go take a look at his twitter activity over the last 2 days.
