Only coaches in South Carolina history to go winless and conference and have a first round draft pick on the squad. Yes I do believe we go 0-16 in MBB this year.

Lamont has CMB. Lou had John Abraham. Hopefully he’s the next gamecock in the Hall of Fame.

Let's wait until he actually goes winless before handing out dubious distinctions.

Wasn't Abraham technically a Brad Scott signee? Dunta Robinson was a Holtz signee and top ten NFL pick. Speaking of Abraham, he's another Gamecock that should be in the NFL HOF. He had more career sacks than Lawrence Taylor.

Yes, I understand that. I misread your original post that a player on a winless team was drafted in the first round. So you are correct. I read it as a Lou signee drafted in the first round.

Could this team do what seemed unthinkable a mere few weeks ago and claw out of sole possession of last place?

We sit at 2-14, with games left against 6-10 UGA and 11-5 UT. Meanwhile, LSU sits at 3-13 with games left against 8-8 UK and 9-7 A&M.

Seemed unthinkable to some of the small-,minded folks!

I have been converted. We are getting hot at the right time. No telling what could happen in Nashville. Things are getting interesting for sure.
Yep, it's not like finishing last would give us a first round draft choice.......
