I'm warming to guys like Hartline, Brohm etc.. but Campbell is still my guy, been turning down jobs for yrs and what he has built at nowhere Iowa St is nothing short of amazing, think he would kill it at PSU.

I think so as well. It’s a shame that so many people do not appreciate his abilities. I think some of the posters around here would go on suicide watch if he was named head coach. He would bring instant stability in 2026 and give us an opportunity to build something special.

Cyclone football games are generally not must see games. So that certainly plays into it .

I, too, think Campbell would be an excellent hire, so would Chesney. I, personally, like Chesney for what he has accomplished in turning around garbage programs and made them very competitive. He he is young, very experienced, and knows the northeast (HC at Salve Regina, Assumption and Holy Cross,) before his jump to James Madison.

Saw Urban interviewed and he said he is done coaching. Also said he feels Hartline is ready to be a head coach. He said Hartline did himself well by staying at OSU to keep learning from Day and Chip Kelly. Take it for what it's worth.

All true but we'll see if Urban changes his mind. Whether at Penn State or elsewhere he's just a guy I would never rule out.

Part of me wants Urban and part of me questions how successful he would be in the new college environment.

You obviously have a reading comprehension problem. I have said repeatedly that I had no problem with the Franklin firing just that I think Kraft handled it poorly and put himself on the spot by saying he was fired for not winning Big Ten and National Championships instead of saying simply it was time to move on. Feel free to spend less time bloviating and actually read my posts on the subject. And unlike you I don’t relish celebrating anyone losing his job and spend all my time acting like a juvenile and personally attacking someone who has.
I think you're taking things said in press conferences way too literally and seriously. It's no surprise that an AD or coach in front of a microphone says things that the fans want to hear... like Franklin's we're great but need to be elite speech. It's a lot of hyperbole at times.
