How is the parking at Lane Tech? Montini plays there at 4.15pm Friday, presuming a few folks may be in the neighborhood a couple miles to the east that evening.

You should be able to park in the parking lots to the south of the baseball field which is south of the football stadium. Lane is great place to watch a game.

Id be more worried about Friday afternoon traffic çoming into the city than parking.

Avoid the Ike or Kennedy traffic. Take the Tri State north, get off at Balmoral, and park at the River Road Blue Line station in Rosemont. Take the Blue Line to Addison. Get off Addison and take the #152 Addison bus to Lane Tech.

If you miss the first quarter, don't say I didn't warn ya.

Thanks - the more information the better for a non-Chicago native, much appreciated.

My kids played club baseball down the street from Lane Tech so I got familiar with the area and the commute from burbs...a couple recommendations: The Village Tap is 7 blocks east of the Lane stadium on Roscoe st....the best food and beer in Roscoe Village imo. (Might be crowded due to the cubs game)...and check out the new Lane baseball stadium...its better than most college stadiums. Also, I like the idea.. but the public transit route will be too much. Drive but leave Lombard around 2:30 and take the Kennedy to Irving Park and you'll be fine.

Just take the Eisenhower in, up the Kennedy, off at Addison ... then sleep in your car overnight. Because you might want to never drive a car again after sitting in traffic at Addison and Western on a Friday ... before a Cubs game ... a playoff game.

Good idea but because of the Cubs game I would just walk across the street and go to Hero's sub shop. You can't go wrong there!
