Laney should go in the first round this year. Therefore, I predict first round as the 8th overall pick going to Washington. It is a win/win for the team and player. The team has room for a wing. Also, this is one of Laney's desired teams. In the WNBA the teams often take on players near their home or college roots so that they are happy when coming back from their months overseas. It would be nice to have Nije playing with Kia!

Recent mock drafts on RebKell have her going anywhere from 3rd to 8th. (One person has her going 2nd, but admits that it's what that person would do, rather than what the actual GM would do.) A fair number of people have her going to the Sky, which would put her with Cappie.

As has been shown in past drafts, lesser players coming from Stringer's program have gotten a shot at a try-out.
I hope the same holds true for Essie. And when given that chance, lets hope she makes it and can stick.

I think if the rosters were bigger there would be a need for a specialist, and Essie would then be in high demand.
