He isn’t any worse than some of the dudes they’ve got down there. Is he any good or is this just a feel good story?

Academics. Likely needed to pass some classes. Not a bad pickup.Probably feel good. Low level 3 star. Other offers...
Washington State
Fresno State
Northern Illinois
Indiana State
Lindenwood
Is that a guess or a well known fact? Doesn’t happen often these days. I hate rumors about kids in general but grades is another story.Academics. Likely needed to pass some classes. Not a bad pickup.
But can you imagine the uproar here if he signed elsewhere and has ANY kind of success? You guys would crucify Rhule for not offering the legacy.
EDITED: Sounds like he had a hell of a list of schools that "contacted" him (according to Wiki - perhaps a family member wrote it) but only one offer from Miss Valley St.Anyone know what Jerry Rice’s offer list looked like?
Rumor. His dad struggled mightily academically. Is that a guess or a well known fact? Doesn’t happen often these days. I hate rumors about kids in general but grades is another story.
My favorite Mo Purify moment. Catching the game winning TD pass from Zac Taylor to beat A@M in College Station in the end zone we were seated in to win the Big 12 North. GBR!!His dad was a baller. That both feels like it was yesterday and a lifetime ago.
Rhule barely recruited the state of Nebraska this year. We have kids going to Iowa, Alabama, Penn State, Northwestern, etc.But can you imagine the uproar here if he signed elsewhere and has ANY kind of success? You guys would crucify Rhule for not offering the legacy.
Rhule fanboys are getting weirder. They are in love with making "a bowl" game and having a "nice coach", that is it.Great logic as usual by one of our fellow Rhule apologists.
By that rationale, Rhule should always sign every legacy no matter what, right?
I don't know if he's a Rhule apologist or not, but I took it as more of an observation that Rhule is screwed no matter what he does. Take the kid: you're a moron he's a 3-star. Don't take the kid: Look how awesome he is at Northwest Middleofnowhere State!Great logic as usual by one of our fellow Rhule apologists.

While true, it is because Rhule is a lame coach. If he was winning games, no one would care.I don't know if he's a Rhule apologist or not, but I took it as more of an observation that Rhule is screwed no matter what he does. not me.. I think we are going to win a lot of games this year, but I still want him gone. Success in spite of his dumb mistakes and massive contract, and you're right, for many, they will want to give him a new pass/reset. We are just biding time because of his contract. Do not forget that people. While true, it is because Rhule is a lame coach. If he was winning games, no one would care.
Rumor. His dad struggled mightily academically.
Just because they went somewhere else doesn’t mean he didn’t recruit themRhule barely recruited the state of Nebraska this year. We have kids going to Iowa, Alabama, Penn State, Northwestern, etc.
Only issue is now we‘ll have 18 receivers on scholarship.A good pickup. A 24' long jumper at 6' 3"? Dad played in the NFL? Sign him up.
I could not care less about who else offered. Classes fill out so early these days that there is rarely space for a late bloomer. That's one reason why so many high draft picks started out at small schools before transferring up.
No. Rumor in Lincoln. Not sure it’s true but given how challenged his dad was, it makes sense. So, a rumor started by you just now on this thread? Got it.
Then he sucks at recruiting.Just because they went somewhere else doesn’t mean he didn’t recruit them
No his brother in law knows a guy that knows a guy.So, a rumor started by you just now on this thread? Got it.
I wouldn't think so.Only issue is now we‘ll have 18 receivers on scholarship.
Do we really need that many ?
My brother was friends with Pat Clare. They’re both dead so I can disclose that now. You would never believe my other family ties to Husker football and past staff. No his brother in law knows a guy that knows a guy.
