Does anybody in central Oklahoma have KBG for their lawn? I'm wanting to take my bermuda out in my backyard and replace it w/ KBG - Midnight, but i'm afraid of the hot summers here in OK.

Also i'm looking at planting the seeds next week . Do you think i will run into any major problems with the summer months by planting this late in March?

any tips or advice is appreciated.

thanks

You could probably make bricks straight from my yard if you went down 3" so I'm a bad example. But I've never been able to keep the KBG as soon as water rationing hits.

I have lots of trees/full sun transition areas and it's not any worse than anything else I've tried either.

I'd guess KBG would be blue and dead by the end of June, never having seen it in Oklahoma. Would have to water the crap out of it, maybe multiple times per day when hot?

KBG will not do well in the hot Oklahoma summer sun. Why do you want to get rid of your Bermuda?

Bermuda goes dormant in the winter and the wife wants the grass to be green all year long. lol.
Also we like the dark green color of KBG.
Lastly, I thought about going w/ a higher quality Bermuda (Yukon), but if I'm going to be spending the money and effort I might as well try something totally different.
