First, it’s sad that either team had to lose. I really like the folks and communities from both of these areas. Especially the regular posters from the Appomattox general area. (Not to take anything away from the good folks that post in the Daleville area, but there just aren’t very many). I

think it has become obvious that this is not one of those years where Appo is a giant killer. Having said that, they played a huge, talented LB team about “even up” for 3 quarters. But when the tide turned it looks like the flood gates opened. I was afraid for the Cavaliers for a long time, that their remarkable victory last week was going to be tainted a little by losing the following week. Coach Harless must have found the right words at the start of the 4th quarter.

Either way, two classy programs that play the game right.

Dinwiddie that’s awesome and you are exactly right the raiders are very young but still have a couple D-1 players but just not enough around them at the present time , they should be ok in district play and then you never know come playoff time, probably would not want to play them in first or second round so look out .

Where you at the game by chance? We were traveling to watch my older son play in KY so I was just getting updates via a few friends at the game.
One of my buddies was a LB guy and he said that our kids played with them but looked like they just ran out of gas in the second half. I guess we turned the ball over inside the red zone or at least had drives stall there.
Then I heard in the second half our kids were moving early on offense and getting penalties (not having the heads in the game). I think they had 6 of these!!
They have got to become more mentality disciplined and focus more. Coach and I were talking this week and he said they were struggling with that in practice and it obvisoluy translated over into the game.
Yea, the Raiders have talent but even some of that talent isn't playing to what they are capable of. The need to leaders to step up and improve their on field play and lead by example.

The teams we've lost to are good teams, so it would be silly to sleep on the Raiders but they need to up their game!

No sir, I was at Bird at Midlo.

I would have liked to have seen your game but it wasn’t in the cards.

So many good food games, so little time.

Does your older son play at the college level?
