this should be a good game, big game for both teams but if lca wants any shot at playoffs they have to win this game. I think heritage is a better match up for lca than say jf because lca doesn't want to or is too soft to just line up and play smash ball like they did with jf. Davis is a good back and hard to tackle and lca has struggled with stopping the run the last two weeks. But to keep the playoff light on, lca has to find a way to get the win

Did any of y'all see the game?!? Probably not bc you were watching your team. But I was at the lca game. And it should have been a blow out, lca should have killed them no doubt. Lca's defense played well other than the first drive and 2 plays that just slipped thru for big long tds, liberty didn't move the ball. But lca couldn't get anything going on offense. Every time they get momentum going there would be a flag. Anytime they had a run over 50yds which I think they had 4 or 5 there would be a flag. Whether they were legit or not I don't know but they were stopping themselves

LCA will never be able to compete in the Seminole and this year is probably the best they will ever have. You are watching the beginning of the end.

If they can't get momentum against liberty what makes u think they can against heritage amherst glass. I know yall think yall done something u got 2 Seminole wins one against a program from what i read is in self-destruct mode. An the other by a td. An thats the best you can do against the bottom 2 teams

I would be careful to say “never”. Remember they have money ..... and money can buy you anything except happiness.

Before they where in the Seminole they wouldn't have won it. Sure they won a few scrimmages but scrimmage an regular season 2 different things.

With a dwindling student body, no athletic recruiting or 5th year seniors and other unfair advantages they simply cannot compete in the Seminole.

They do have decent coaching, but now no better than any of the surrounding schools.

I think if lca can stop #11 from running the ball all over them then I think they have a shot to beat heritage but that's a tall order bc #11 is a good high school back and lca run defense is suspect allowing 400+ against JF and 200+ against liberty last week

The key to beating Heritage is to make Davis carry the ball 35-40 times rather than 15-20 times. This might seem crazy but, think about it...He had 35 carries for 226 yrds and only one TD (less than 10 yrds) versus Glass. His longest run that game was under 30 yards. Nearly every other game he has had over 200 yards, multiple touchdowns, and several runs in the 30-60 yards range, all with only 15-20 carries. Make him earn short, hard yards and you have a chance to beat Heritage. Of course, that's a lot easier said than done.

Everyone talks about Glass creating the "Blueprint" to beating Heritage but keep in mind X's and O's don't replace Jimmies and Joes. Glass had a great scheme PLUS some straight studs on D. Glass has something no other team in the area/region has, #2 LB Thomas Patterson. Probably the best defensive player in the region. Just saying, Davis will always get a bunch of yards but you want him to get those yards on a lot of short to mid-range runs. It's a lot easier said than done containing him.

Bulldog to flames....LCA has no chance. This game will be a blowout. Heritage is not Liberty. This game will be over by halftime.

I think a big factor in their loss to Glass was the fact that they were so focused on ending "the streak" (Appomattox) that they had a big game let down.
Not to discredit Glass, they beat Heritage; but I do feel Heritage was looking past them.

But they played Appomattox before Glass so, how would they have been looking past them?

Past them in terms of "ruling the Seminole" , " WE broke the streak", and just the fact that they have owned Glass for several years.

No, the key to beating Heritage is scoring more points than they do.
