Tampa doesn't have any fans and the Dodgers have been there three of the last four years. Not a great draw for national ratings. Yankees-Dodgers would have been better. Blah neutral site probably hurts too. It has nothing to do with any "protests." NBA was competing with pro football and baseball playoffs. And again, a Laker-Heat matchup didn't get people very excited either.

I think people aren’t so into sports right now. I personally know that I’ve watched less college football this season than ever before. I’ve hardly thought about Fitz’s squad at all. Not intentionally, but lots of other things to think about this year.

Don't think it has anything to do with protests or signs in the park. Maybe it's because Lack of fandom in Tampa and let's remember L.A. hasn't even had a team. until recently. Now if it were the Yankees vs. Cubs , ratings would be through the roof.

I think this is the correct answer. Tampa doesn't have fans, 40,000+ people aren't showing up to games due to COVID restrictions, neutral location, leading up to a hotly contested presidential election that has many eyes on political networks instead, etc. I think very few people are even aware of BLM/racial justice protests involving baseball. Of all the sports that draw the ire of some for that activity, NBA/NFL are at the fore, and NHL/MLB are complete afterthoughts.
