WTF does being a smartass have to do with politics? I know plenty of smart-assed cons and libs.
What age is a child "helpless and innocent?" Where's the cutoff? Puppies are smarter than babies, but eventually most humans pass their dog counterparts.
Because a toddler getting left in a car is sad. A 10-year-old should know how to unlock the GD door because it's not hard. (Shrug)

If the kid isn't smart enough to escape the car then natural selection has simply taken place OP.

I **** you not I wish somebody would try and **** with my car with my German shepherd in the back. The person thinking they were saving a dog would become a chew toy and I'd just laugh and sue them for my car damages.

I was running in a convenience store and left the truck running with the windows about 1/3 way down. This guy yelled at me that someone was going to steal my truck. I said "If they get it out of the parking lot, they can keep it." Idiot actually tried to open the door and was met by a pitbull/boxer before he could get in. He didn't get my truck.
That happened a couple of years ago near here. Lots of people thought it was a real hero move. Wrong.
No matter the circumstances, if I catch somebody breaking my car window I'm shooting first and sorting it out later.
