Lebby ?

Ole Miss hasn't skipped a beat without Lebby, is Kiffin the sole reason for their success? 36 passing yards from the qb, that has to be a record. We have two 5-star receivers, 2 TE/HB that can be a huge mismatch, RB who is versatile out of the backfield, and thats the offensive game plan he came up with. BV needs to take a long hard look at his staff, right now none of them are pulling their weight. Both coordinators should be fired if they lose next week at home to Kansas.

How come KU can do things we cannot do with a second sting QB? The answer starts with a L and ends with a y. Just another all talk coordinator. In over his head. I give Willis high marks for trying to carry things on a dumpster fire offense.

Some of this disruption is more about Texas talent than our lack of talent. Beville is a below average QB and can't pass or run effectively. Our piss poor QB play can be, in some part, due to Texas' D Line. They average about 320 lbs and knocked our O Line off the LOS from almost every snap. Our O and D looked confused and out of sync the last three games. We looked completely different against a below average Nebraska. Just my opinion but Texas adjusted and was prepared to stop our wildcat formations. Although the wildcat was the only thing that was working Texas was prepared to stop it. I have no idea why Lebby did not roll the dice and play Evers earlier. What about Micah Bowens?

I don't think Roof is up to the task. I think Lebby will be OK. The losses to KSU and TCU was put on the defense. Lebby's game planning has been exposed. He needs to tear it down and start over.

OU is the epitome of the walking wounded. We had guys playing that were far less than 100%. Take a breath, regroup and focus on Kansas.

Good grief I had no idea he was making that kind of money. Now I'm really pissed because he's come out with the same exact excuses the last 3 weeks in a row. Now I realize at KSU we put up enough points to win but our D can't stop anything. What Lebby trotted out there yesterday is an all time embarrassment for OU football. Does he think he's fooling the fans at this point By saying that Beville is the best option to give us a win? Venables needs to come down hard on a few assistants and let them know their unpreparedness is unacceptable.

Yep $1.8 m +++ for Lebby and $1.1 m +++ for Roof. The +++ are defined incentives like winning conference championship etc. Roof's salary is an aberration given his experience and track record.

I was told by someone with ties to the Ole Miss program when Lebby's name was being mentioned for the OU OC that they were not worried about him leaving that it was Kiffins Offense not Lebby's and they would be just fine without him. I wasn't so sure that was true then but it sure seems that way now.
Besides that Lebby does not have a lot of experience as the OC, as an Assistant with Offense he has some but as the OC not much at all.
I think we have a lot of Coaches without a lot of experience, Brent as a first time HC and on down the list. Roof has had more jobs than I can count never staying at one place very long.

Roof should have been fired already. I've seen enough.

Same here, it was a mystery hire for me from the get go but who exactly is running the Defense? Mostly Brent or mostly Roof with some input by Brent? I can't really see Brent being a former DC and not being embarrassed by this Defense and not having a lot of input on it at least by now.

Well, for one thing, there's a reason Beville was the 3rd string QB at Pitt to begin the 2021 season. He is marginally better than having a mannequin standing back there, but he's not a guy who is going to be a threat against Power Five competition.

KU's backup quarterback has double digit starts at his previous location at UNT. It's not Pitt, but he's a player, and according to the Monday night show, ran an 10.3 100 meters in high school. He pretty damn good. And KU has a better receiving corps than OU.

OUr guy has never played a meaningful snap as a 3rd teamer at Pitt, and when he got some action at OU this year, they never let him read a defense to try to throw the ball downfield. Hardly let him throw the ball at all. When I complained here about that in the first three wins, I had my head patted, "there, there" and told it made no difference.
